Don Fink's Be Iron Fit is what I used for my 1st IM. It has 3 plans, Competitive (peaks at 20 hours/week), the Intermediate (peaks at 15 hours/week) and the Just Finish (peaks at 10 hours/week). BT also has training plans.

I used the BT 20 week HIM plan last year and was happy with it, but for the IM I went with the "Be Iron Fit" plan.  I went with it due to the fact it had the 3 options, when I first started considering it the competitive plan looked crazy hard and I thought it would be easy to drop down to the intermediate if needed and if things got crazy in life I could always fall back on the Just Finish plan.

So far I just finished the 19th week following the competitive plan and have been happy with how things are working out.

The only thing I don't like is the swim workouts, I find them quite lame and after giving them a shot I've reverted back to old workouts and workouts from the BT IM/HIM swim plans.  I'm not real concerned about the swim come race day though.  The way the schedule works with the bike and runs is easy to follow and I do like how that goes week by week and find it easy to switch things around when other things get in the way.

Good luck

If I did not do coaching, my second choice would be to pay JorgeM for a custom plan.

x2. I think if the cost of a local coach is a bit too high, I would next look for an online relationship with someone you could follow closely and be in contact with in a community like this. We all know Jorge he is an open book, so you know what you are getting. In his case, you are getting something good.
