Chequamegon?  Sounds like something in Wisconsin?  Nope.

Not this year, I did one about ten years ago...*geez ten years* It is a lot of fun!  It's even harder to get a racing spot for this than an Ironman but worth the effort.  Lots of Birkie trails and singletrack.  If you're doing it have lots of run

I got in to the Short and Fat this year...which will be only 6 days after IM WI...I signed up for the S & F lottery (rather than Cheq 40) to do it as a fun race and hopefully won't be too sore from the weekend before....did I mention I'm stupid?

I wouldn't call that stupid, more like 'aggressive'.

Yeah. I'm going to go with that too. Now, if you want to switch up to the 40, THEN I'd consider "stupid" :p Or at least drunk.

I would like to do it without rain this year.

Last year, it was my first MTB race, so I had no idea how far 40 miles on a MTB could be...or how woefully underprepared I was.

Sadly, now being a "veteran"...I am well aware of both facts :p
