I just hit enter on my first 70.3 registration form (Muskoka Sept 12), a little sick to my stomach but excited at the same time. Figured I would share the news and maybe give someone else out there the idea/push to do the same, 469 total registared so far. Hope to see ya out there, I'll be the guy looking around with that what am I doing here look, Cheers

Congrats!! It's so exciting when you press that button and get the confirmation.  I remember totally freaking out when I registered for Steelhead!

That was me last year...loved the whole thing. You have plenty of time to train. Get out there and hit the hills.

Congrats Pete. I did the Muskoka HIM last year. If you can get out there and at least ride the bike course once. It will help you a lot come race time. Very important. I wish I had done that but didn't and paid the price with a poor ride.

Muskoka is a great course - my 1st half. Great atmosphere. X2 on the try to ride the course beforehand - at least out to Dwight Beach Road and back. Best prep for me was the Muskoka long course - this year on June 25, good timing for the half.

Oh yeah - and ride some hills.

I registered for this race as well and am a little nervous.  My "A" race for the year and my first half also.  Will try to get to ride the course (or part of it) in July.  Keeping my fingers crossed I stay healthy and uninjured.

Congrats and I agree with what someone said earlier.. If you get a chance to do the Bike route before the race do it!! It has lots of hills but if you get a mental image of the course ahead of time it will really help..I did it last year and really enjoyed it .. if you can still get a room at the resort itself it's really worth it.. transition area is in the parking lot in front of the main building.
Im doing my first IM (canada) this year so I won't be able to go this year but It's on my regular list of tris after that.!!

Good luck

I just signed up! Eeekkk! First HIM ever!

Definelty need to ride the hills. I know some people who have done it and said if you train for the hills its not bad at all. Lets hope that's true!
Good luck all you BTers!
See you at the finish line
