Our brand new tri club, Broome County Triathlon Club, is working on a logo. We are lucky enough to have the family of the creator of the comic strip B.C. (Johnny Hart) here in town and they are willing to design a logo for us. This is a pic of the first design, I thought I'd put it out here for comments.

What do you think?

I like it, but maybe put the swimmer in the water.  or coming out of the water and... hmmm... it might start to look like an evolution statement.  Not sure if you want to potentially alienate anyone.

You mean, like the Geico Dudes?

Yeah, I thought that you were missing a sport!

Off the top of my head...

If you are going for the cartoon style:

Have one running on the helmet of the biker and the one chasing swimming.

Turn the swimmer around on the shoulders, and that would make it really interesting!!!

Also, the drop bars are more like "Boner bars" they should be pointing down... And as previously stated, the seat may be a tad bit high... To make it a little more "Quirky" put goggles on the biker, helmet on the swimmer, and swim cap on the runner with perhaps, a snorkle or even a "Dorkle".

What do I think of it? I want one!

I'd add water dripping off the swimmer.

Hee hee, my first thought when I saw Broome County was, "Get the B.C. dude!" So glad to know I was sending these thoughts ahead of time.

Yeah, I think the swimmer is a little too "hidden". With the B.C. theme, go with the unicycle guy, or at least stone wheels. Maybe underwater cycling? If he can (no idea of copyrights and such) pulling at least a runner and cyclist/unicyclist straight out of the strip would be nice. Def. highlight the swimmer more.

Very cool stuff, though - can't wait to see it as it evolves!

Thanks for the comments, they are helpful. My initial thought was having B.C. on his stone wheel, adding aero bars, aero helmet and a race number flapping on his back. I like how he tied all 3 sports in to the design though. All of the county parks around here use the B.C. dinosaur as their logo, I thought incorporating that somehow would work as well.

I'm psyched anyways about the club and logo. Thanks again!
