I need to train for the Norseman Extreme which includes a 3.8 km swim in a 15 degree fjord so, yes, I'll go.

Anyone been there to check the temps lately? Can't be colder than Cultus Lake when they had it in May, right? If it's not crazy cold, I'd be in for sure!!

We will take the dogs up to the lake for a run tomorrow and get the temp with the hot tub thermometer.....the temp will be posted for all to see. Any bets???? I'll bet 10C.

Leah, I'm in, I'd follow you into the jaws of hell.....so long as they are not to far off of 10C!!!! Kari even said she would be in.....but she's been sitting on the couch drinking Rock Creek ciders. Big talk for someone that can barely watch the 3rd period of the Canuck's Game!!! Sorry I was just told that I misunderstood her.....no way in hell is she going in....she'll watch our stuff on the beach and call 911 if needed.

I'll swing by to take bets if your guys get hypothermia or not. Love to join you, but I'd drown, if I didn't freeze first....

Have fun.

I know that many of you will think that I am completely insane, but I really want to swim at Sasamat on the Easter weekend.

That's April 3 or 4.

Can I persuade anyone to join me?  I won't go by myself.  Just a short one - max will be to the canoe dock & back - 1100.

Okay the numbers are in....actually there is only one number. As in 9. Technically 9.5 was the warmest and that was on the floating dock but I don't think the thermometer was in the water long enough. This thermometer is used to sitting in water that is 48C (104F), so it was a bit of a shock. It is back in the hot tub now, safe and sound.

Update for this morning:

There was a dude swimming there when we started our run!

Hot tub thermometer said it was 10.

ROLL CALL for Sat April 3 please, and preferences for time!!  I'd say 11am.  Then we can defrost at the pub.  Or Chris & Kari's.

Can we do both? Count me in ya crazy chick! I think Kari said she'll give it a try.

Oh, nope she just said "I'm not swimming are you %&$#%@ crazy?" I must have misunderstood her
