Once again I think Russell's inability to sound sincere to the jury is going to be the end of him. Looking like Sandra may be another million dollars richer...or maybe Parvati...Oh the suspense! |

Expert 1207 Parker, Co | Subject: RE: Survivor 5-16 SPOILERS they need to stop having this decided by the jury..the true competitors never win....the last 2 season winners have been totally undeserving. Jury is always bitter and it ends up as a high school vote for the "least mean" or lamest survivor left. |

I think I can safely say just about every chick looked better on the island compared to off the island. Dial down the makeup ladies! On a serious tip, Russell is by far the most entertaining player in the history of this game. I did just wanna grab him by the neck and shake some sense into him. He succeeded in alienating just about every single player. Great season. btw, anybody notice the irony in the cross hanging on Russell's neck? It actually had 2 crosses...literally a "double-cross!" How appropriate. |

Elite 4547 | Subject: RE: Survivor 5-16 SPOILERS I like Cerie, nice lady, tough competitor. Love her. Stefanie, for God's sake, her eyebrows are ridiculous. Who is telling her to arch them like Uncle Leo from Seinfeld? Geez! Coach is a tool. Amanda seems sweet, and looks way better without makeup. I still love Russell's Machiavellian game play. I'll miss Satan's spawn. |

(but I still love the guy's play, and he WAS the Sprint Player of the Season!) p.s. heck, he even screwed up talking with Sandra and Parvati before they went to that final meeting with the jury. All he had to do was emphasize how liked Jerri was, NOT "she'll vote for me." Man that was dumb. Edited by ChineseDemocracy 2010-05-16 9:57 PM |

Dummy He didn't stand a chance to win, the whole jury hated him well before the final tribal council. Listen to Danielle, she said as much & the whole group hated Russell when he talked. (I think he was the best player, but the jury hated him) |

Master 2538 Albuquerque | Subject: RE: Survivor 5-16 SPOILERS Do the players keep Russell around KNOWING no one will vote for him because he's such a jerk? That's the only logical reason I can come up with for him making it to the finals (and honestly past ANY week where he didn't have immunity). |

Elite 3395 Raleigh | Subject: RE: Survivor 5-16 SPOILERS I do not thnik Russell outwitted, outplayed and outlasted everyone. He outlasted all but two people, he outwitted a few, especially Tyson, but outplayed no way. He has NO end game. It would be like anyone of us developing a good swim and bike and having no run whatsoever. Will we ever win our AG like that? Not likely. Russell is the ideal person to bring to the finals! I am sure the producers love Russell as he brings controversy. I do not understand the adulation for him I was wrong about Colby, he was not dogging it, he just stunk. |

He outlasted all but two people, he outwitted a few, especially Tyson, but outplayed no way. He has NO end game. x1000...people talk about how he played the game better than anyone...but he didn't play the WHOLE game...just the part of the game to get him to the finals. He was so focused on making it to the finals that he forgot that the game doesn't stop once you get to the finals - there is a whole 'nother part to it...winning the jury votes. I think when Russell kept going on about how the country should get a vote in the final result was perfectly addressed by Jeff, "That's not this game...this game is where you are voted on by the people you stepped on to get to the finals." Russell didn't play the whole game. |

Veteran 840 | Subject: RE: Survivor 5-16 SPOILERS Good finish. Russell and Parvati both played a good game to get to the final 3 and 1000% the wrong way to win the million dollars. It wasn't that they played so hard or were so strategic, they were both just plain mean. Perfect example, when Russell held up the laminated letter from JT to throw it in his face how "stupid" he was. That tells you what his heart is and everyone in that room knew it. So he will never win the million. I am also sure that real life isn't that different for him. Parvati was just about as nasty. Certianly when you cozy up to the snake every one hates, act almost as bad and you and the snake are side by side, you risk being cast out with him. Sandra, well it's a viable strategy to be in the final 3 (or 2) and not be hated as bad as the other two. Nothing wrong with that at all and it's been a winning strategy many times. Sandra won it when she told the jury that she tired and tried to vote off Russell. It was credible, true (at least nominally) and let her vie for the hate Russell vote. A very strong end game play that Parvati could have also went for if she had made a run at Russell early on. Colby said it all when he said that he hated the location. I believe that he was worn down by a location where the contestants couldn't explore and fish/hunt. That left staying in camp with a bunch of snakes. I would have gone crazy if I was stuck in camp with some of those losers 24/7. When you mentally feel like crap all the time, it puts you off your game. The Snakes were energized by that and it showed. You fail in Survivor if you are the evil mastermind and you don't take someone every hates more to the end. In the end, Russell and Parvati were hated so much that there was no person in the pool that would have been disliked more than them. It's good to see a pair who play 2/3rds of the game perfectly but blow the final third and get what they deserve. |

Not saying Russell should win but it should have been between him and Parvati. Sandra would not have been there if not for both of them totally agree... and I think that Sandra sometimes showed what she's really like in "real-life" I don't remember her once appearing happy or friendly or even sociable - I think she kept her true "bitchy" personality under cover TWICE and now she's $2 million bucks richer Russell or Parviti deserved it more regardless of how they got there - they "played the game" and it truely is becoming a popularity contest and that's a shame |

Champion 6056 Menomonee Falls, WI | Subject: RE: Survivor 5-16 SPOILERS DougRob - 2010-05-17 8:20 AM I do not thnik Russell outwitted, outplayed and outlasted everyone. He outlasted all but two people, he outwitted a few, especially Tyson, but outplayed no way. And Sandra did? All she did was whine and complain and get beaten at every turn. I don't understand how she can outright state in her final speech that her goal was to eliminate Russell, obviously failed in that regard, could not win a single challenge, did not lead any alliance of any kind... and yet is voted the winner. That's a joke. Along with Tina and Valencia (or whatever her name was), Sandra is the least deserving Sole Survivor of all-time. I agree that a large part of the game is maintaining the respect of the jury, but to see incredibly weak players like Sandra win fairly consistently is, as Russell pointed out, a huge flaw in the game. |
