Fete du Canada indeed. I'll be in Ontario tomorrow, a day late, but there nevertheless. Maybe I'll have a plate of poutine for a belated celebration... Yum!

To all the Canucknuckle heads, Bonne Fete Mes amis.  Enjoy the day, it's rainy on the coast today, we will all likely end up in the kitchen partying.  Hope you all have a great day.

Poutine is a key part of any Canadian triathlete's diet. Peter Reid and Lisa Bently want that kept secret, so don't tell anyone.

Started the day with some Canadian bacon and pancakes with maple syrup.

Threw on some Roots sweats and then off to Tim Hortons for a coffee and a cruller.

Stopped at Canadian Tire for some deck screws to put the finishing touches on the dock at the cottage. It was only a couple of kilometers away anyway.

Good thing it wasn't any cooler out this morning, otherwise I would have had to look for my touque. As it turned out, it was

Anyway, finished with the dock and then sat on the chesterfield to enjoy a Molson Canadian brew when an old SCTV rerun came on. When I heard Getty Lee belting out "Take off to the Great White North" I laughed so hard that I fell off the chesterfield, landing a full meter away from the TV, but I didn't spill a drop of my Canadian!

Happy Canada Day, Bonne Fete du Canada,  No doot aboot it!
