yep, I will be there as well.  First race of the year.

I am in, just hoping I can keep my run together better then I did at Cap Tex.

And I hope the roads are in better condition than when I last saw them.  HUGE cracks and potholes everywhere!

There are still some cracks in the road but I didn't see any potholes last time I rode out there.  I'll be riding part of the route next week and will post back with the road conditions.  Anyone that rides it before me, feel free to update us.

Road condition update?

I rode is yesterday and it is marked and ready to go.  I think I noticed one pothole but seemed ok other than that.  Definitely some parts that are a little bumpy though.

x2 on road conditions.  Road the course last night and it's in pretty good shape.  One pothole but the roads are in good condition, considering much of it is chip/seal.

Will be there with 3 newbies. Looking forward to my first open water event

Heading out shortly to go help build out the course. As I mentioned in earlier post, would be great to meet some of the BT'rs on Sunday (I'll be directing the swim area).

I was a Pf-local as of a month ago but have since moved to Circle C and will be closing sale of our Pfluger-house in a couple weeks.  I'm #101 (yellow swim cap, white Felt B2) so feel free to say hello if you see me!

Only saw a couple other BT's there yesterday.  Excellent day for a race and I like the new TA location.  I was wary of the last-minute change-up of bike in/out but I think the decision made to allow in/out on either side of the traffic island was a good choice.  Heck, I can't complain about anything - 3rd in M25-29 AG...on my first Father's Day no less! 

Congratulations on the 3rd place, that is a great first Father's Day!

Glad you liked that new location. I thought it worked our terrific myself; and we had good feedback overall. I think we'll stick with the bike in/out on either side, as it did seem to work very well - thanks for the input on that.

For the others that were there, if you want to post your thoughts, I'll pass that info on to the race director.

Really liked the setup on the n side of the lake.  It was a great race and course.  Liked the shape of the swim course as it created less of a bottleneck.  Had my best race ever, 78 overall, and improved 7min from this race 2 yrs ago.  Only (very minor) complaint was having to run down the stairs with wet feet into transition.  But not really sure how you could change that without making the run after the swim much longer.  Pass on my regards for a great race to all those involved!  Will be doing this race every year.
