Comments:

I as swimming agianst the relay people and so I was a bit nervous that I was going to get my @SS whipped. So my 11/48 is really impressive for me. I was super happy cause I was swimming against all these people GUYS AND GIRLS of all ages, some who looked really good. Maybe because they were swinging their arms to warm up and they looked cool doing it.

I went out HARD for the first 100m. usually I wouldn't. but I did and found a lane that I had. I think this is good so I can get ahead of people that I would pass anyway withouth having to think about passing them.

I had "my song" in my head so I was rolling the arms through.. however I was pushing hard and breathing a little un regularily for me, two strokes not three... With my foggy goggles I felt like I had to sight more.

It was awesome that once around the first bouy I started passing people in the wave before me and started picking them off one by one. Eventually I picked off a few in the Relay heat and was super stoked.. literally "Ha haaaaa take THAT!" went through my head.

I am learning how to be compeditive. a new feeling for me.

I got out of the water and sprinted to the transition... I burned by like a dozen people. That was hard, but I knew my part of the race was over so I had to give it 110% until that chip came off my leg. People were literally going... "oooo" and "woah" the anouncer was like "WHAT A FINISH!" yeah! YEAH!

I think my days of sailboat racing has given me an afinity with the mark roundings. I love it.. it's so cool..
What would you do differently?:

get new goggles, not freak out about sighting.

Post race
Warm down:

hands on knees in the "I'm gunna puke" position.. yeah 'what a finish' barf barf.. Callum and my family was impressed.. so thats cool.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my goggles.. wow.. I really need to try out some.

Dang, woman - you're movin through the water! 11/48 is awesome! And you used to race sailboats? Deal breaker. My jealousy won't let me go any further so I'll have to stop right here.

Hey Laura,

Great swim. You are dropping so much time each time you race. Congrats. I am impressed too. Now you have to do the whole loop of Sasamat while the rest of us only go to the dock and back.

How did the rest of your team do?

Damn...mighty fine race.  You can really swim!  That's in meters too.  NICE!

Great song choice.  Were you part of a relay too or did you do a swim? If relay...how'd your relay do?

'deal breaker' as in, you thought I was cool.. but now you REALLY do?

Ha! Really cool status could only be obtained by giving me a couch to crash on on my annual ski trip to Whistler and recommending good sushi joints (I know - must be hard to do there, huh?)
