Subject: Challenge: Weight Loss During the Holiday Season

I challenge anyone and everyone to lose weight this holiday season.  My personal goal is to drop down to 185 pounds by January 1, 2011.

Rules:

1)  Open Training Logs to all Challenge participants if you keep your log private
2)  Daily weigh-ins and posting weight in your training log
3)  Create personal goal for weight loss and post in your training log dashboard (see my log for example
4)  Daily encouragement and heckling of other participants--you must be an active "inspirer"
5)  Sense of humor and positive attitude.

I will keep track of everyone's goals and progress and post daily group progress sheets in this thread.

Who is in?

Bill--I added you into the Spreadsheet but had to edit the sheet to account for your water gain over the last two days.  Yikes!

For those who would like to create the nifty spreadsheet in your Dashboard to track weight loss.

1)  Open your training log.
2)  Click on the "+" symbol next to "goals" on the right hand side of your log.
3)  Click on the create a new goal tab making sure "weight" is shown in the dropdown
4)  Creat your goal and choose to show it in your dashboard or side bar (side bar does not include the cool graph)
5)  Save and you are done!

Bill--I should log my first winter crappy bike miles tomorrow morning although it may not get me many points.  I am counting on your challenge to get me through the holidays although the Colorado endless summer is getting ridiculous.  They are calling for 75 this weekend.  Good for weight loss though!

OK, I'm in too!  I had a weight loss competition going with my hubby that is not quite doing the trick.  Maybe this will help.

As a step in the RIGHT direction, I will spend the next few minutes trying to get my dashboard all set up instead of heading to the vending machine for a snack.  Laughing

Rhoda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came prepared today - I bought life saver mints so when I get my pop or candy urge I am covered

I will have to come prepared tomorrow!  I do have some cough drops....  but I think I'd get sicker if I ate too many of those.  Fortunately I only have to make it through another hour of boredom here at my desk.

I'm not sure if this is a fair challenge since I have the most weight to lose so far!!!    Updated spreadsheet below.   I just skipped free Papa John's Pizza at work--for me this is a huge success!

About to go to a meeting for a school organization I'm in there will be free pizza there but I'm going to skip it... that's hard for a college student we tend to not turn down free food

Heck yeah, I am not on speakig terms with any scale these days.  My season of injury & illness has caused my clothes to feel SNUG.  My goal.......Lose at least 8 lbs by the end of December

I will face a scale at the gym tomorrow to get the official (and dismal) starting weight.  I know it's between 151-153

Queen--I'll reset your starting after the official weigh-in tomorrow and reset the final goal to show an 8 lbs loss before the end of the year.

Welcome everyone--success can only come with cutting out junk and fueling our workouts with quality foods!

Hi Cameron buddy. And everyone else. I'm gonna play. For some reason I have put on weigh training for a silly HIM. So I want to get down to where I feel comfortable and spritely by the beginning of the year and the celebration season is a real challenge. This could be what gets me in the right mind frame to do this.
I'll have to do conversions for you cos being in Australia we have managed to convert to metric. Tongue out. (This is heckling! Tongue out)
So for me start wt is 60.8kg=134 lb. Goal is 58kg=127.
Still working on the graph thingo.

Half of my team the CRUSHERS is here! I want to join and should join, but I don't weigh daily. Still thinking about joining, or I can just talk to my Crusher buddies in our challenge thread...

*Making myself accountable at least to the Crushers in case I don't show my face here again.
