August Challenge

B 200 miles

R 55 miles

S 18000 meters (pool closed for 2 weeks)

This is going to be a tough month; I feel like I should make more progress versus last, but there are a lot of conflicts and time constraints in Aug.  Let's go with this and I'll get in everything I can.

Hi guys.  I'm debating whether to do the challenge again this month.  I've got a couple vacations so planning my schedule is a bit tougher than usual.  I'll try to figure it out by tomorrow or Wed. and let you know if I'm in or not.

I'm going to sit it out this month.  Too much that I have to "play by ear" as I go.  Good luck Guinness.  Train hard!!!

So, we've got a few goals, but not for everyone that's on our roster.  And who's our capitan (1..2...3.. not IT!).  I sat out last month, so I'm not quite sure what's going on.... Better go find the rules from last month.

BTW- thanks for letting me join...looking forward to getting to know some other BTers.

I have an excel worksheet made up for whomever our captain is. It works on weekly totals and tells ou the percentage of eact total at the bottom and where you are at towards achieving your goals. PM me so I can send it to you if you are interested.

OK - Here are my numbers for August- I am going with times rather than distances, if that is alright:

Swim: 5 hrs
Bike: 12 hrs
Run: 8 hrs

So far for the month: Run 2hrs & swim 1/2 hr. I'll be on vacation for the next week, so I'll provide my next update after that.

BTW - I'll be doing the Timberman 1/2IM in a few weeks - anyone going?

Everyone don't forget to post your CORE goals. This can be set in terms of Sessions worked on core conditioning or # of Crunches, sit-ups, or so.

My goal for the month is 10 sessions.

Good luck and train hard.

Mark

Ewww...do we have to?  I've been in an abs class all summer and it ends next week (yeah!) but I guess I better keep up to core work on my own (boo!).  Will have 4 sessions from my class, and I'll put in another 5 on top.  Total, nine core sessions. To date, I've done two.

It's really hard for me to do core work on my own.... Ok, I'll stop whining about it.

Have an awesome weekend of training (and other things fun-summer is almost over!)

Hey TripleThreat!  Glad you could join us.

Week 1 totals.

S: 1700 yds
B: 0 (ugh)
R: 7.2 miles
Core: 2 sessions

I'll be honest, I'm beginning to think my goals are lofty, so you all better keep me on track. Last week was slow anyway, because it was my week after the big ol bike trip. Don't fear, I can make my goals...it will just be a, well, challenge.

Sarah

PS- has anyone noticed we still don't have a captain?

I believe I have been assigned to this team and as of yet have not posted my goals. So here goes -- If I'm in the wrong place, oh well . . .

Swim -- 10 hours
Bike -- 21 hours
Run -- 12 hours
Core -- 0 hours-- I'm training for IM WI and really don't have time to do the stuff I'm supposed to do, so I'm not adding anything!
