Run
Comments: It was an excellent experience. #1 Running with my eldest daughter. #2 Running slower showed me how fresh you can feel after a long run. And how much fun you can have, even at longer distances. What would you do differently?: Not carry hydration. Post race
Warm down: Walked about one mile to car. 5 minutes of stretching. 8 hours at Universal Parks. What limited your ability to perform faster: Emily needed to do more of her short runs, and not just the long ones. Event comments: Everyone should try a Disney Marathon Weekend at least once. With a teenage daughter makes it that much sweeter. Next year, the Goofy? Last updated: 2010-10-19 12:00 AM

Day before spent at Universal riding adrenaline pumping roller coasters. Woke up at 3:00 AM. Woke up Emily, my 16 year old daughter, the star of this race!
Ate bagel, banana, sipped a gatorade, took bus to start. Took off throw away jeans and jacket and put them in my dry bag. Put poncho on. Visited porta potty.
Shuffled to start. Way more crowded walk than the marathon last year. Danced a little, but mostly focused on keeping Emily calm.
