It being lotion, and no, not for that.

Do you guys use body lotion? I have never used it before and I am afraid that if I do I am going to have to ask my wife to give me back my man card so I can turn it in. But with the current weather here in the desert and the amount of chlorine in the pool at my new gym, my skin is itchy and driving me nuts! It feels like it is going to crack if I stretch it too far.

So do you use it? And if yes, which brand? I hate the slimy, oily feel of lotion so I am hoping there is an option that doesn't feel so nasty.

Try Gold Bond medicated lotion it is great for itchy dry skin and it much more "manly" than some of the other stuff.

Second that, I use this lotion as well after I get out of the pool.  Definitely helps. And since it says medicated, you can keep the man card. Plus no flower smell.

You know they have a kind that smells like chocolate, could be very advantageous for men.

I really don't understand why some guys think using body lotion is "girly".
Guys have skin, too.  And different people have different types of skin - some oily and some dry.

Dry skin is not fun.  I am more prone to cuts, eczema and longer healing time under dry conditions.  If guys can use chapsstick, then what is the problem of using body lotion?

If you are looking for lotion with the rose frangrance, then it's another story.

Lather it up. I use Gold Bond. Like conditioner for your hair, it leaves your skin silky and smooth ala Billy Madison.

I use Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion.  Mostly on my hands/arms as that's what tends to dry the most.  It's not greasy and does not smell (fragrance free.)  Works great for me!

One day, I ran out of tissues and lotion at the same time, and although I needed both, I decided not to get both from the supply cabinet at the same time...

Come one Aces, always leaving them wondering...

Bath and Body works frangrance lotions = Girly and you lose your man card.
Lotion stricly for the use of medication = no problem at all.

In fact most nights I have my wife rub my back down with lotionk, it's really the only way I can get her to give me a back rub.

I'll shower and then use baby oil after my long runs in the winter.

Guess I'll give it a shot. Where does one buy gold bond? I don't see it on Target or Walmart's website.

I suppose for men and water rather than oil based is what I am looking for?

You should be able to get it at Walgreens or CVS.

Yep.  Especially if I'm swimming as much as I should.  If I don't the chlorine will dry my legs up and they itch, to the point I scratch till I bleed.  NOT pretty.  So lotion is a must.

Target sells it.  Also maybe try Dove men's or unscented soap too. It could be your soap that is drying you out more.

My husband has to use a moisturizing body wash AND lotion.  He was blessed with super dry skin - which is going to get worse as he gets more into this swimming thing.

Curel unscented is amazing lotion.  Lasts all day.  Non-greasy.  Works for his dry skin and my oil skin (no breakouts).  Can be purchased just about anywhere.

I live at 6000 feet.  Dry climate.  lotion is a must.  I really enjoy when we travel to humid climates as I never need to bother with lotion.
