It has happened on the first date, 3rd date or after several dates so I picked 'when the time is right'.

It may depend on how important pizza is to you. We all like to think pizza is important to us but if the quantity and quality is very important then sooner *might* be better than later. I don't want to get emotionally attached to someone who cannot keep up with my quantity or quality. SO glad I am VERY happily married and no longer have to concern myself with these things.

Girl #1, that I really liked, dumped me, but made a promise to go out with me and celebrate my birthday a couple of weeks before the breakup.  She kept her promise after the breakup and we went out.  After a couple of hours of dancing and socializing, I took her home.  I went back out to the dance bar and met girl #2 that I knew from the campus.  Girl #2 came on to me, took me to her car, talked and then made out.  Girl #2 stopped and asked "What would your girlfriend say?", and I told her that girl #1 (who girl #2 probably saw earlier with me that night) was not my girlfriend, and that she was seeing someone else.  Girl #2 had me follow her back to her house, and I was pizza delivery.

I don't have a certain "timeline", it is one of those things that you go with what feels right.  In some cases it has been the first date, in others multiple dates have gone by.  The interesting thing is that the long term relationships i have had, it was a pizza first date type of start to most of them.

No one buys a car without test driving it, this should be no different....
