Subject: May Flowers Challenge

April Showers bring May Flowers, right? Go go out there and plant your garden, and while you're at it, go get a workout done, too.

For this challenge, you can set goals in ONE to FOUR activities.
You can participate in one activity, or two, or three or four. It's up to you!
You define the activities.
You set the goals. Only want to swim once? Only want to bike once? YOU decide, and set your goals accordingly.

To participate:
Sign up on this Google spreadsheet:
https://spreadsheets0.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=t51GaXRc2r6n77m...

You will need to enter the following information:
email address: [email protected]
password: challengeforum

If you can't access the spreadsheet:
Scroll to the bottom, and look at the bottom right corner. If it says, "edit this page," click that link and enter the info above.

The ultimate goal of this Challenge is to push yourself in an activity (or activities), to work out, to meet fellow BTers (virtually or otherwise), and to have some fun!

Hopefully, this Challenge will give you a little extra incentive and motivation to succeed at your goals – whatever they may be.

Welcome to the Challenge!

- Dee

I went on a short run this morning.  It was 11 miles shorter than what I was supposed to do today.  I'm really bummed about missing the half marathon.  I would have gotten a PR.  Oh well.  At least I'm getting over the flu.

Getting over the flu is good.

Missing a race stinks (don't ask how many I missed due to illness and injury since last year when the fun started, it's depressing).....UT, healing and recovering so we live to fight another day is good!

Pick me, pick me!! Smile

My life is back on track, I am happy to report that of the 4 main challenges I've had the past few weeks, two are resolved, one I'm ignoring so it's gone away (really the best solution, actually) and one is temporarily halted so may rear it's ugly head again who knows (but that's work, and work's work I can deal with almost anything they throw at me).

So - that said - I'm repeating my April challenges in May and planning to be successful this time.

Looking forward to it, Crushers!

WAAAAHHHH!!!!

I just looked at the results of the half marathon I had to miss.  I would have been in the top 10 of 118 women in my age group with the time I could have gotten!!!!

WAAAAHHH!!!!

I'm so bummed.

That stinks. Don't beat yourself up too much though. Not much you can do when you've been sick.

Hey everyone!  I know I disappeared at the end of April...  I got so sick last week.  Super congested, couldn't breathe.  Still hard to get any air in when running, but hopefully improving.

THEN, last friday was Grandparents Day at my dd's school.  My parents had planned to come out for the weekend for that and to help me with some painting.  Then my FIL, whose retired, planned to come out too and then to help hubby in the garden over the weekend.  Then my MIL came too.  And then my SIL and 2 nieces.  And then my other SIL's family came over for dinner on Saturday.  Basically, I had 11 people trying to sleep at my house.  And 15 for dinner Saturday.  Needless to say, a lot of house/yard work got done but not a lot of training.  I was so exhausted that I fell asleep with the girls last night...  Embarassed

Now it is another month...  Time to get back on plan.  Got my running shoes with me today so I'll get something in (wheezing or not) before I leave work.  Will get my goals in order when I get home...  I'm having a mole removed from my back next week which may hurt training a little.  But we'll see what I can put together.

Wow, that's a lot of family at one time.  You'd think it was a major holiday.
