Subject: Dorky Gym Wear?
Ok, I'm getting ready to go to the gym and have a quesiton. For my birthday I got an old school Adidas sweatsuit - black with the classic white stripes. I love it. But now I'm wondering if it's dorky to wear the whole thing?
Advice appreciated!

Will you be wearing anything underneath it to control the "jiggly bits"?? I think as long as it's not retro bell bottoms, you might be OK!

I think they look gret. But they might be too warm for cardio work out though.

I think that it depends on who wears it.  The most atheltic looking person can wear something to the gym that would be dorky on someone else, but because they're so fit the outfit looks cool.  It's all about presentation.  I would say wear it- who cares what others think??  I don't go to the gym and worry about what I'm wearing becuase I usually get all sweatty and gross anyways.  I'm there to workout, not to go on the run way for a fashion show.

Ok, I'm going to wear it, but I'm going to carry a bottle of Christal and a jewel-encrusted goblet just to make sure I'm lookin street.

Jiggly bits? lol Uh, ya.

I think Max is confused- he must think you're a guy?  That's the only thing that I can think of what he meant by "jiggly bits"!  lol  Max- can you please clarify?  Are we missing something?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with giggly bits giggling as long as those bits are giggling on a woman!  I may seem biased in this but that is the way I feel.  As for looking "dorky" for wearing something, who cares!?!  As long as you are comfortable, that's all that counts.

LOL...despite my affinity for stylish heels, I was picturing something a little higher up than the typical male "jiggly bit". As Bob Hope would say, "Thanks for the mammaries..."

I like that goblet idea Frances...I think you'll be the talk of the club!!
Pictures to follow?

Well, I get to see dress shoes and socks on a regularity. I would assume these males are confident in who they are. And, don't care that it looks totally wack. I haven't seen any one looking good in this attire.

That was the lamest mile I've run in two years. Oh well. I looked cool. Decided to take my sword instead.

My philosphy is usually "the dorkier the better." So is this a Run-DMC-type sweatsuit? Will you also be sporting some bling?

I think running top speed on the treadmill in that suit, chains a' swingin' would be about the coolest thing evah!

Just remember- you're taking fashion advice from a guy who has a million bright yellow running shorts and rolls them up to transform them into speedos!

If it makes you feel any better, I own a pair of workout capris. (Yes, you may laugh hysterically.) It was the only thing close to shorts Target had in my size - and I am sure they look ridiculous, but they're comfy.

It's TOTALLY Run DMC. Ya, it was hard running wiht my shoes untied, and my big, diamond laden necklace reading "White Mofo Couch Bouncer" would have knocked my front teeth out had I not been wearing my gold caps. Decided to leave the hat at home...more of a beach run thing.

I thought run4ylif's shorts were a custom made Renaissance tri-short? Cod piece and all? Just add a poofy shirt, leggings, low, Peter Pan heels, and a hat with a feather!

And cd -- I don't think capri's are dorky. I've got two pair myself.

They're actually starting to grow on me - the only thing that is making me nuts is the lack of pockets.
