Lara,

This has happened to me also, especially after a few very good training weeks. I don't know the answer, but what I usually do is to try not to dwell on the missed training too much and start working at it again. My "little breaks" usually don't typically last more than 4 days before I have to get a workout in. If I break for more than 4 days I usually start feeling nervous or anxious.

i am going throught the SAME thing the last 2 weeks.  i was doing great since school started - getting up way early to go to gym so i have time after work for family BUT i helped my dad roof for 2 weekends...and...OMG...roofing is truly a despicable(?) job. i'm absolutely whiped out.

i put the old 'private' check on my log as im totally embarassed.  for u lara, i will uncheck it and WE BOTH will start getting back into the swing for this fall....whatdoyasay?

Life just throws things in our way sometimes, and I find it is best just to accept what comes our way and work to make the changes to get back on track.

Keep up the good work, and nice support from members of the board.

Lara - 2003-10-03 11:12 AM i'm sure everybody has experienced this at sometime in their training.... things just get too busy and something has to give. well the last two weeks it's been my training unfortunetly. major project deadlines at work and school. plus i had to move, lots of cleaning, packing, unpacking. has this ever happened to you? any sugguestions on getting back into the swing mentally? i tried the gym last night for some running/indoor cycling but my mind wasn't there. i figure if i keep with my training schedule/routine i will be back into it in a week or two. what did you do when this happened to you? btw - Ron the boards look great!! Love the training logs.. Will be logging soon. Lara

I just thought I'd revive a 3+ year old post.  So tell us Lara...have you "gotten back into it" yet?  In a week or two....hmmmmm.  OK, so I deserve to be smacked around, go ahead, I'll probably enjoy it anyway!

It was just cool seeing that COJ went back 242 pages!

Here is what you do.  Buy yourself 5 of your most favorite treats in the wold (twinkies, cookies, soda, McDonalds) and tell yourself that you are allowed to have it only if you get in all your planned training each day no exceptions.  That will motive you to get in all your workouts and by the end of the week you will be sick of eating crap, in turn will eat better and be back on track with your workouts .  It's worked for me in the past

yeah..  Chris Tree, Michael, CraigO, clightle were all here when I got here..  I surfed for about a month before I registered in Sep 2003..

(i guess you can say that i'm still holding on and refusing to give up...    )

Of the first 500 people signing on, only 39 are still around (enough to have logged in sometime in the last six months). Twenty-five who still log in and have been on here the longest (first column is the order in which they joined):

I joined July 1, 2004, as the 3,368th person to sign on. Of the 27 people who signed on that day, only four have posted in the last six months.

Not too bad for a "troll," eh? By my calculation, you were the 2,398th person to log into BT.

I can't believe I joined before you.  Freaky.

You know I'm just joking right?    You're like the anti-troll.

Wow, BT is technically an urbanized area by the Census definition - at least in the number of 'persons' (registered users).

So you're saying we're like an online city?  Cool!
