Subject: RE: who's playing powerball? A heard a story a few years ago about a group of businessmen in Australia who tried to "corner" the lottery when the jackpot was very large. They bought something like 75% of the tickets. It was quite a logistical challenge. They won and got their return on "investment". It would have been sweet irony if they had not won, or had to share the jackpot with a little old lady from West Wyalong or something. Maybe some of our Aussies can confirm if this really happened, or if I am the victim of an urban myth. I heard this same story years ago. If my memory serves me, they all made money on this investment. You've got to have money to make money... |
