Expert  658    San Diego |  Subject: who's playing powerball?$340 million. Myself and 10 others at work. If I didn't have to come to work tomorrow I would forever be happy in the pants. Although some sort of winning to help get out of debt would be just fine. |

I'm sure I'm breaking some sort of law here, but I'm ignorant to the law, so I can't be held responsible. If you want me to buy you a ticket I will pay for it out of my own pocket, just consider it a loan. One ticket only per person. If you want specific numbers you must give them to me. I will leave to buy the tickets at 4 PM central time. I will then scan the tickets and post them here with names attached. Sounds crazy? Everyone's so nice around here I don't mind doing it. I don't understand why the big surge in interest when the jackpot gets so big. It's like people can't be bothered if it's only several million dollars, but if it's a few hundred million it somehow makes a difference. A heard a story a few years ago about a group of businessmen in Australia who tried to "corner" the lottery when the jackpot was very large. They bought something like 75% of the tickets. It was quite a logistical challenge. They won and got their return on "investment". It would have been sweet irony if they had not won, or had to share the jackpot with a little old lady from West Wyalong or something. Maybe some of our Aussies can confirm if this really happened, or if I am the victim of an urban myth. |

I heard this same story years ago. If my memory serves me, they all made money on this investment. You've got to have money to make money... |
