Table and chairs for the breakfast room.  Plus something in a small box under the tree since we will be at her mother's house.  She's been a really good girl this year.

My first little gift was a haircut. The GF is really trying to save money. I heard her saying to her friend how much she needed to get highlights and a haircut because she had not had one in 6 or 8 months and she had so many parties to go to in the next 3 weeks. So I found out what place she normally went to and the person who normally does it. Then I went in and paid for a cut and highlights and had the receptionist call her to set up the appointment.

I am not an avid shopper so I just get her what she wants.  I bought her a dress from Victoria's Secret and a gift card for a bunch of manicures at her favourite spa.  We are also spending four days during Christmas at Mont Tremlant with the kids, where we will ski, go to the spa and dine out at some very nice restaurants.

Hey Lauren,

Aww.  I would if I could but, in one of my rare moments of clarity and brilliance, I did that 33 years ago.  She said yes.  I just meant small package as in "good things come in small packages."  I haven't actually picked anything out.  The table and chairs are an upgrade of some hand-me-downs that we've been using for 20 years or so.

Not Christmas, but for her birthday, she got a half-day spa package.

Christmas, Leaning towards a remote car starter since she is now getting up and out of the house every morning here in the snowy midwest.

She's gotten sparkly things in small packages other years.

Well, I since just blew a Cleveland on my cutie-pie for a diamond heart-shaped pendant for our 32nd anniversay, the Christmas budget is a little watered down. I dunno, anyone got any suggestions?

Oh, and she's getting the "one year anniversary band" to match the engagement band, at which point her left ring finger will officially cost more than my car (nice scam you lady's have got by the way).
