Ughhhh!!!!! I hate ALL those CSI shows!!! I just did a trial. Brought in a finger print expert to explain the realities of finger prints and to explain why we only found two prints on a window sill and why those prints were of no evidentiary use. Explained excretors and non-excretors, environmental contamination, smearing, evaporation effects, the entire reality of how fingerprints ACTUALLY work. The Jury came back not guilty. I talked to some of the jurors after the trial and they said that "there should have been more finger print evidence" So the jury totally dismissed the testimony of the actual finger print expert and went with what they "knew" should have been there from watching that stupid totally make-believe show. Rant and sour grapes now over.

I thought Lost wasn't that great last night....Michael losing it and running off into the woods to find Walt? The Others telling Jack that they can't cross this line without getting killed? I just wasn't that impressed. I need more info on The Others, I'm losing interest.
Poor Jack getting dumped like that!! Within a 24/48 hour (I guess) time period, she tells him she thought she might have been pregnant and then tells him she's leaving him and has a man on the side

I think you missed the point of the flashback. Jack is single-minded in his missions to save others, to the exclusion of his personal relationships. What does this portend for the islanders?

Those of us who gave up on the need for immediate gratification after years of watching The X Files (and getting no satisfaction!) are not ready to skip out on the series.

This is damn fine TV.

Subject: oh yeah... the nitty gritty...

I read this on another Lost discussion group regarding Eko's "jesus stick."

Well, what's carved on the pole is, actually, REVELATIONS 3. Which reads, for example:

These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. 3Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. 4Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels. 6He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Maybe it's just me but if I'm going into the woods to find Miachael and the others I might like to take some more people with me like maybe the African warlord, the Iraqi Special forces guy, or the Korean enforcer. Also when deciding to start and train a guerrila army maybe you would want to talk to the Iraq Special Forces guy or the African Warlord. They might know a little more about it than a 28 year old cop.

It also shows his inability to listen to older, and occasionally wiser, people - his dad, Locke...

Might know more, but not as easy on the eyes. I think Jack is trying to kill two birds with one stone, trying to get himself a little booty before EVERYONE but him pairs off. Sheesh, even Hurley has a hint of a relationship going down.

Asking A-L about training an army is a pretty decent pickup line, don't you think?

Subject: Alex?

"I hoped it wouldn't come to this," the Other says. "Bring her out, Alex!"

(Alex? As in Rousseau's Alex?).

You've got to read Mac Slocum's review of last night's episode. Mac rocks.

More!

The "quote" the Bearded Other references -- "since the dawn of our species, man has been blessed with curiosity" -- is attributed to Alvar Hanso. Remember him? He just happens to be the munitions magnate who funded the Dharma Initiative. Since the Bearded One is fond of quoting Mr. Hanso, I'd say the theories suggesting that the Bearded Other is actually Dharma co-founder Gerald DeGroot just gained a whole lot of credibility.

I really would like to have seen how that conversation would have gone if Locke was talking instead of Jack just blowing his top again. And also to get Lockes thoughts on the meeting afterwards.

Also:

- I think Michael has the sickness. Remember Danielle said that about 40 days after they landed on the island her team started getting sick so she shot them all. They have now been there 50 days.

- I think there are two groups of Others who may be competing with each other for resources (including kids). "Zeke" didn't seem to know about Ethan being a spy and he seems somehow to be different from Ethan and Goodwin.

- How did "Zeke" know that Walt is a "special little boy"?

-Why is"Zeke"s grouping allowing the crash surviviors to stay there at all? Seems like they could pretty easily kill them off if they wanted to.

So many questions. Ugh. Another whole week of waiting...

I loved it...love it all...has anyone checked out http://www.thehansofoundation.org? I think that "Zeke" is one of the original scientist for Dharma. I love all of the websites the producers put out, so many hidden features.

I've never seen anyone do better - or more hilarious - reviews than Mac (or Trust No One, as he is known on the XF forum).
