Run
Comments: I am a slow runner to start with, and my ITBS flare up certainly did not help. It was a nice run and an absolutely gorgeous morning, though. And to be honest, I was happy to finish, as I'd never run 5k before. What would you do differently?: Take advil before the race. Wear short rather than wind pants. Post race
Warm down: Stretching What limited your ability to perform faster: My general running ability, or lack thereof. I was also *very* warm by the end, and my knee hurt bad enough that I had to limp-run the last half mile or so. Event comments: A great first race event. A water station along the course would've been nice though. Last updated: 2004-05-17 12:00 AM

This was my first race of any kind as an adult, so I was king of winging it. I ate two pieces of toast with pb about 90 mins before the race and drank some water.
Stretched bit.
