Run
Comments: Good run although I never found my "groove". I was still sore from my hard ride the day before. That all being said I PR'd by over a minute although I didn't get the sub 42 to move up to the sub seeded group in the Peachtree. Having done basically no speed work while letting my hamstring heal and having done a really hard bike ride the day before, I am pleased with the effort. What would you do differently?: Maybe not ride as hard the day before, although I am training for Gulf Coast as my "A" race and that takes priority. This was probably an "E" or "F" race. Post race
Warm down: Had Gatorade at the finish line, and then bagels, doughnuts and bananas at the starting line which they bussed us back to. Stretched and waited on my friends to finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: The crowd at the beginning, although that was a blessing in disguise. It forced me to run a 7:00 for the first mile and not go out too hard. I was pretty much cooked by the end of this race. Event comments: All of the Get Fit Atlanta races are very well organized! I would recommend them to anyone. Last updated: 2006-03-11 12:00 AM

Woke up at 6 and drove over to the Kroger on Floyd Road to pick up my number. Saw Lee (gsulee) and Rebecca (steamy) and a few other non BT friends there.
