Went out on Friday on my Brand new Cervelo Dual and at about mile 10 got a flat and my casset came loose.  Saturday took it out, at about mile 3 I got a flat (other tire).  Went out sunday with two old tubes (rode most of last year and all my trainner rides on them) and was able to ride 25 without a problem?  You would think if you spend all this money on a bike a great store you would not have these problems.  Okay rant over (didn't sleep well due to tornados in the area).

Still going to call Mission Bay about the flats??  Think they should send you two new tubes.

Any tornados come close??? Haven't listened to the news this morning yet.

Yeah, pretty wild weather in our area, eh?  I think you guys had it worse than me, we got a lot of show but no bang, so to speak.

I'll be curious to see what the bike shop says if you call them about it, since I plan on doing a lot of my tri shopping there.

The owner there is a great guy so I imagine if I say something he will take care of the tires.  As far as doing buisness with them, I recomend it highly.  I have been buying things from that store since the 80's.  I bought a skateboard in the 80's, two mountian bikes in the 90's a wetsuit last year and now this bike.  They have always been a great help and are never pushy about selling products.  The only thing that bothered me was that the casset came loose, that is something they should have had tight (and maybe it was it is possible it just came loose).  I think I am going to ride into Elgin in two weeks (if the weather cooperates).

Your cassette comes loose and you're worried about flats????????

Flat tires happen, sometimes tubes are bad from the get-go, sometimes you run over stuff, sometimes it's another reason.

Did you puncture the tubes, or was there another problem? I hope you got the cassette fixed. That's pretty scary.

I tightened it up as soon as I got back, haven't had a problem.  The first one I think was glass (never saw it in the tube) and the second one was a pinch flat.

Maybe I am mis-reading your original post, but if the flats were caused by a puncture and a pinch flat, how are either one of these issuse something the bike shop can do anything about?
