Subject: RE: Who has got snipped?I was a bit nervous but I reminded myself that it was worth it. My wife was on birth control for x amount of years...I might as well do this one-time thing so that she doesn't need to be buying pills and have to be responsible with the pill maintenance and anxiety any more. I was nervous before hand. I felt wierd having a nurse "prepare" me. It felt quite akward. Even the sarcastic joking side of me felt akward as it tried to convince me to put my hand in her hair just to see her response. I didn't. That was smart. The few days after weren't as difficult as they say. I was given vicodin...but I really didn't use much of it. I just had some peas, a jock strap, and The Chronicles of Narnia. I was nervous about the first ....ummm...discharge...but everything was just fine. Kudos on going to the consult. Lots of guys do it without even getting information beforehand. I had a hard recovery, but it had nothing to do with the procedure. 6 weeks after the procedure, it still hurt down there, and I figured I would probably be stuck with it for the rest of my life. I then learned that my chair at work leaned slightly forward, which put a lot of pressure down there. Once I changed that, I felt better after about a week. Edited by lifejustice 2012-03-16 1:37 PM
