I think we tried this a long time ago.  Let's see your photo's right off the camera, then your finished version.  Here's one of my recent pictures right off the camera, and what's ready to print..

Teejay, that's what I was going for, but now that I sized everything so low to fit on this thread, it just looks like I cropped it.  But I did add some contrast and make a few other adjustments etc..

Can't wait to see what you add...

Very nice!  I have a few like this .. but more of taking a "so so" photo and making it less "so so" with the aid of Photoshop!  Will that work?

Show us the Chupacabra.

I have a question about photoshop.

I have a PC and an Ipad2.  What's the best to edit pictures and what product would be best to look for a beginner?

I've never used photoshop before or really any editing software before for my pictures, but have been interested.

Teejay, why'd you crop the transmission line? That line is older than the car...

In fact, if you build near Rte 66, you can't touch the old Transmission Lines because they're part of the original highway and therefore cultural artifacts...

That said, the picture does look better in B&W and without the pole.

the bubble is awesome as is the fence. Nice art everyone!

This image is way over manipulated but I do like the results.
I took a series of 5 images and stitched it together in photoshop. I used the stitched version as the "before" image to minimize the number of photos to show.

Fyi - the scene actually looked closer to the edited version but I under exposed the shots because I wanted to retain the detail in the sky and cloud/fog formation. This created a muddy, soft look. So I punched it back up (and slightly more) and did a sort of pseudo HDR affect in the shadow areas.

Here's another one which has less overall manipulation (except for the removal of the second horse)
Basically just did a crop, enhance contrast, and vibrance.

There are parts of each one that I like.  In the second, I think the larger of the trees ends up blending too much into the background.  But, the vibrancy really adds to the overall strength of the picture.

Good job!!

SOTC ... overexposed

Impressive exposure recovery. Is that a nose ring?
