Wow !! That is pretty incredible perseverance through that run. Most would have given up.

Congratulations. You toughed it out. Even if you think you're body wasn't full prepared, your mental strength certainly was. I disagree with you on this point. Maybe you could have gone harder, sooner, but no guarantee you would have finished. You did what was right. Our minds do know how to dose our efforts.

well done. I am impressed !!!!

good job on finishing your race.  I think you were more mentally strong then you are giving yourself credit for.

Great job!  After personally struggling with your hammy issues last year, I know what physical pain you were dealing with through training.  It was gutsy of you to stick with racing a full, and it paid off.  I bet you learned so much about yourself.  I'll see you around town, hopefully!!!

Tom, you stuck to it when the variables made your plan go off course and managed all the emotions. Anything could have happened, but you finished what you set out to do. Congratulations.Good meeting you out there that weekend as well.

Tom - you struggled through what sounds like a really tough day.  Be proud of yourself, you dug deep and persevered.  It's very easy to get down on ourselves when things didn't go the way we wanted/planned, but you pulled through.  Congrats on finishing your first full!

Great job on sticking it out, Tom! Sorry the run didn't go as well as you would have liked, but I think that an IM run is so different from any other run, triathlon or road race, so you really just have to go with what you can handle in that moment, and you did that. Nice meeting you, and best of luck in the future!

Wow, great job, Tom!
That's some seriously hardcore racing, Kudos! Lastly, I just want to echo back to you what you said to me after my undertrained Oly at Deer Creek: " you definitely did great and I bet you learned a ton".

Cya 'round!

Thanks for the great race report (I'm lurking to do some research on Rev#3 CP). I chuckled about the getting hauled off to jail line...funny now although I'm sure it wasn't funny then.

Congrats!
