Anyone else watch Homeland? I knew nothing about it until it crushed everyone at the Emmys. Now I just finished epispode 8 and will not get anything else done tonight until I finish season 1. Good thing I have to be home anyway, or I would feel very lazy and useless right now.

Seems to be the craze.  Heard good things so I downloaded all of season 1 to watch.  Then move on to season 2.  I'm catching up on Strike Back first, then move to that.

Sounds like I'm not alone. I was late to the party with a lot of these serialized great cable shows. They flow differently when you catch up with a whole season at once,. then come in for the regular airing, a week at a time. I did that with Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Dexter, Weeds. Let's just say that after two weekend in a row of 3 seasons of sopranos, I wasn't the nicest guy to be around.

The wife and I find that if we delay for half a season (and avoid any spoilers - which is not that hard) it more enjoyable.  We can watch a couple episodes back to back if the suspense is too hard to handle, or a couple over a couple days.  We hated waiting for an entire week.

That's what I'm digging about all the on demand stuff with direct TV.  I'm watching entire seasons on my own pace, which for ME, has been about 2-3 episodes in a row per night!

I'm looking forward to getting on the trainer for a couple hours and knocking out 3 more episodes of Strike Back.

I just caught up. Knocked out all of season one, and the two episodes from this season.

I cannot wait for Sunday night. (OK, let's say Monday early morning.

Just got into it myself recently and got watched from episode 1 to the last one. It's enjoyable, but watching so many episodes in a row makes it too easy to see holes in the story line, plus it really highlights the fact that all of the characters are so damn brooding and moody. Nobody is effing happy. Nobody. If Claire Danes gets all wide eyed and weepy one more time I may throw something, just not at my flat screen. How did she manage to be that batshyte crazy and hide it from trained professionals for so long??? Please. I think I'm done with it, but I do want to see **POSSIBLE SPOILER*** what Saul does with his latest find.

But notice in Beirut she smiles widely when she realizes she pulled off something difficult.

**POSSIBLE SPOILER**

That was a psychotic smile, wasn't it? Almost like a junkie who just scored. That character is nuttier than a fruit cake, and Danes does a great job. but I can only take so much. It's a great story line and would have been a great movie, but they can't conclude the story without ending the series. It's very clever though that the crazy person with the crazy story happens to be right. But now Saul knows more so I want to see where they take it
