http://now.msn.com/north-korea-releases-propaganda-video-featuring-nuclear-destruction-of-new-york-city

This was a video made by the Uriminzokkiri propaganda agency of North Korea.  I can't decide if it's hilarious or terrifying.  It shows the destruction of several major areas, but it does so to an instrumental version of Michael Jackson's "We are the World"...

That's creepy...

I believe we are supposed to riot in the streets, burn nk flags and then go kill the nk ambassador. At least I think that is what people are supposed to do when someone makes an inflammatory video...

it's Terrifying, not because I really care about the video, or am terrified by what it contains, but what it represents.

The video itself is amusing to us, because it's so absurd.  But, think about what that represents for a people who have been brainwashed for generations, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.  It really is very sad, and will probably lead to some sort of confrontation in the future.

NK is a nation full of starving people who are essentially enslaved by the state and not taught one bit of truth from the day they were born.  It'll be rather frightening when it opens up because they have no concept of reality/morality but to obey their government.

I don't really fear them as a nation.  Afterall, the Korean War was not fought against North Korea, but against China in North Korea.  Before the Chinese crossed the Yalu during a ceasefire, American Forces had decimated the NK Army.

You're right, videos like this show just how bizzare they are and how brainwashed they are.

I would cut some of the footage of the flying missile.  I saying "when is it going to hit NYC already"...  Almost fast forwarded...

OK, at first it got me a little upset (Even that's a little harsh - offended) that someone would put something out blowing up citizens of our country?  Sort of sick.

And I GET some of the other posts.  But to play devil's advocate.  How many times have you heard Americans say thinks like "we should turn the middle east into a parking lot" or other similar WMD jokes.  There are people in every culture, country, nation that have a twisted sense of humor and do stuff like this.  I'm not going to get too worried, or put too much weight on it or think it's some kind of omen/indicator of the future, or people in general.  I would wager most people in NK don't want to nuke us, even if they don't like us.

Is this the trailer for "The Dictator II" with Sasha Baron Cohen?  If so Hollywood's cinematography has really gone downhill.

I don't think it's accurate to equate this video with people who possess a "twisted sense of humor." The propaganda agency that created this video didn't do it out of humor.

That said, I also don't put much weight on it, at least in terms of the United States. I'm more concerned for the people of South Korea with respect to any sort of North Korean aggression.

Fact is they could drop artillery rounds that they currently have plenty of on Seoul if they ever wanted to.  But they know they'd get invaded immediately.

Yep, it's all just propaganda to control their own people.....has NOTHING to do with us or S. Korea.

Has nothing to do with Obama, or Kerry.  It has to do with their lack of respect for the rest of the world except for maybe China.  And in some instances, they are even pushing their buttons.  No, it has nothing to do with the current administration and everything to do with a little dictator attempting to flex his muscles.  Especially now that his father is dead.

I hope the demonstration isn't taking place in an RPG or Mortar Free Zone,,,,, I never go to a peaceful demonstration without them.

Good one powerman,  It's kinda hard not to if you were born before 1980.  That song was everywhere for a few years.

I don't think they respect China at all.  Actually, seeing as how China has become a capitalist country and all, maybe the best result would be for NK to get invaded by China.  What's it matter to us if they have all those additional starving mouths to feed?
