Shazaam for finding new music.

Strava for tracking rides and runs (love that I can compare my times on specific trail segments/routes)

Everything else I could take it or leave it, but I use those two all the time (along with email and the internet, of course!).

I'll just list the ones I use most often: (I have an android)

Facebook
You Version Bible
FoxFi (turn phone into free hotspot)
Wifi Analyzer (use for work to analyze company wifi networks)
Alarm Clock Plus (alarm clock that allows me to turn off the clock notification on the message bar and I like the gradual alarm, starts out quiet and gradually builds louder)
SlingPlayer (to watch my slingbox at home)
Various Games (Angry Birds, Bad Piggies, Hill Climber, Temple Run 1 & 2)
AlpineQuest (great GPS/Mapping for when you're hiking/biking off grid without any signal)
Brightest Flashlight (to avoid stubbing toes at night)
ColorNote (for taking notes)
Easy Voice Recorder Pro (Quick widget access for recording.  mostly use this for any interractions with law enforcement, yes I'm that peranoid
Google Sky Map (simply coolest app ever)
Flixster (for finding movies and what's in the theater)

Our Groceries - keeps grocery list synced between me and my wife.  This one earned a spot outside a folder and sits on my home screen

It is one that was recommended on here and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!!!!! It's on mine and my wife's phone and it syncs between the two.  We update it and whenever I'm by a grocery store (or on sunday afternoons, whichever comes first) I just pick up whatever's on the list and poof, viola, done!

Flipboard - aggregates all your news, info, websites into one app.  It's better for the iPad, but it's still great on the iPhone too.

Vodio - same as flipboard, but for video.

Yahoo Sportacular - best scores app I've found

Kitchen Timer - you can set multiple timers if you're cooking a lot of stuff

Hello Vino - I use it to pair wines with what I cook

Gas Buddy - I think it's broken, it only shows that gas prices are high everywhere

Barcode Scanner - I use it to see if I can get something cheaper somewhere else

Awesome! I have an iPhone but an thinking of switching. I love the grocery list idea and the kitchen timer one (I clearly like to eat.). Will the grocery one work if one phone is an iPhone and the other is an android?

I'm a big Apple fan, but love the freedom I get with my Android.  You do have to be careful though because there are some junk android phones and some good ones.  All iPhones are great quality hardware, so you don't have that issue when them.

The new google maps for iPhone if you don't already have it, kicks the snot out of Apple maps and gives free voice, turn by turn.

Tapatalk, doesn't work for BT but works nice for other forums.

Redbox, can reserve stuff on the phone, then just swipe a card to pick it up.

Dropbox, free cloud storage, works great.

X2 for our groceries, nice app.

Yelp, find location and gives close places to eat, we have found some cool new places to go with it.

A new one I am diggin is PaperKarma. Take a snapshot of your junk mail and they unsubscribe you. Off of 11 lists so far. Only had it a few weeks so not sure how well it works but they say I am off the lists.

Forgot to add. I just jailbroke my phone for the first time a week or so ago. Absolutely awesome, definitely recommended.

I like the iPhone layout better than android, but there are a few small annoyances. Not anymore!

I can switch wifi on or of with one click. Holding my home button turns my flashlight on, no app. I can get an app to give me free tethering and another to tell my phone I am on wifi when I am not so I can use facetime anywhere. I can even get Siri on my iPhone 4.

If you like your iPhone but want to change a few small things I definitely recommend jailbreaking. Took 5 minutes and was very straight forward.

For my iphone

Myradar - Best radar app, although the weather.com app has better forecasts.

appsgonefree - Lists apps that are on sale for free, updated daily.

Ticket to Ride - Stupid little game that I'm currently addicted to.

Plague Inc - Another addictive game.  Create a virus and see if you can destroy humanity before they can create a cure.

And my kid's (4 & 6) love Where's My Water.

Iphone apps I love

ISing - if you love to sing along you will dig this to death.  You can create a template and others join in, or you join in singing duets or groups with others around the world.  by smule - andorid version coming soon they said

Magic Piano - I love all the instrument apps, but this one plays songs they have listed.  Different levels of skill

Find my car - park push the set and walk away without worrying about finding it upon returning.  Remember vegas casinos can be 5 to 6 levels and all look the same

Photosynth - easy picture taking and stitches pics together to make a 360 view.  Look up on you tube for hints.

Oh yeah it works as a phone too

Looks like it should work fine.

Here is a copy & paste from their site.

"Xsssss's iPhone is now sharing the OurGroceries grocery lists belonging to [email protected]. You can share your grocery lists with as many other iPhones™, iPods®, BlackBerry® smartphones, and Android™-powered phones as you wish.

Go to the your list page to edit your lists and recipes from your web browser."

I haven't seen it on a list yet, but I use it almost daily and I'm glad I downloaded it.  It's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but incredibly useful.

Flashlight.  It turns your camera flash into an led flashlight.  If you find yourself regularly using your screen to light your way in the dark, this is the best thing since sliced bread.

PDANET.  It allows me to tether with a usb cable or the most current version allows me to turn my phone into a wifi hotspot without telling sprint or paying them the extra $40/month they want.  It allows me to surf on my netbook without using my employers network, and is one big reason I keep passing on the iPhone.
