Subject: RE: Ironman 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake : Official ThreadYeah, suddenly there's just 12 weeks to go. I feel I'm on course, although HIM training took a hit in March due to some sprint tris I did (which in hindsight served mostly to ruin a weekend of training) and a medical procedure that took out 6 days of training and had me sitting on frozen peas. I did run a PR half marathon 2 weeks ago, although overall I need to step up my weekly run volume. I swim 2700-3000 meters 3x a week, so I'm not worried about the swim distance. But I still haven't done an OWS due to cold water temps here, but I have two Olys between now and BSLT. I’ve decided to live off the course to simplify my day, so I started training with lemon-lime Perform. It tastes just fine to me, but I’m not that picky. I’m also switching from Hammer gels to Gu Roctane. Now I just need the Dallas heat to get here for real BSLT training. So overall, I feel it's going ok. |
