I'll take that as a no.

I used to work for the Dallas Stars. During the 1999-2000 playoffs I was changing out the sticks on the home bench and the players started coming back out. As he walked by, Mike Keene hits me square in the nuts. Right behind him Marty Turco hits me in the face with his goalie glove. All caught on camera as ABC came back on air......needless to say, I received some phone calls.

Been on TV twice.

* The Huskies were going to the Freedom Bowl while I was going to the University of Washington. Frankly, I didn't give a rat's hairy pattotie about the football team. Well, I was on my way from the sports building to class, and got stopped by one of the local news guys, and they shoved a camera in my face, and asked me if Shreveport meant anything to me. "Nope." "Shreveport, Louisianna?" "Still nope." "Okay, thanks."

That little exchange made it onto the local 6:00 news.

* The Second year that the Seattle Marathon had a relay division, my team took 1st place. No mention at all. But when they had an edited-for-television half-hour show later that night, covering the event locally, the final cut just before the credits showed me running past the camera and towards the finish chute. From behind.

I guess the local stations want to make me look like as a$$ either way...

I let the wife handle all the TV appearances for the family and make any statements.  I'm just the man behind the curtain.

We had several church breakins in our area. Our church was attempted, but not breached. I was on the news inviting the thief to come back on Sunday morning for worship.

When I lived up north I did a polar bear swim. My buddy and I were dressed in Hawaiian garb. I told him that we were going to get interviewed and he needed a 30 second sound bite. When they stuck the microphone in my face I said "You couldn't pay me to do this, but for this charity I will gladly pay them."

A few hours before the Live 8 concert in Philly (in 2005, I think), I was interviewed by one of the local Philly TV stations about the concert. They were just doing some man-on-the-street interviews. I gave them a pretty good sound bite and my interview ended up getting aired all day long. So much so that I even got "recognized" by people who had been watching the concert coverage on TV.

As a young lad of 19, way back in 1980 (yes, TV did exist, but not ESPN), I had halftime stats plastered over my tuba playing self during Pitt vs. Syracuse on ABC.

Twice that I know about.

First one, I was sitting next to Roger Clemens at an A&M v. tu football game, field seats. I called my parents, told them my tickets were on the field & who I was sitting next to. Ended up being on tv a couple times & half of me on the jumbotron.

Second time, was WAY cooler. Peachtree Road Race 10k, big race/party in Atlanta. Dressed up as babies complete with bonnets & huge bottles filled with adult beverages and we got interviewed during the race, by CNN. It was on CNN that day and on the internet. I emailed it out to my family, my mom said she was "so proud". Not.

Now that Comet mentions being seen during the ball game it reminded me of a time.  Three Christmas's ago I was in best buy shopping.  I had a handfull of stuff and was picking out some Wii games.  The local news was in and I was not paying attetnion.  The wife and daughter seen me on the news buying them presents.  They played along on Christmas day and acted surprised.  Then they showed me the clip on the DVR later.  It's true the lens does add ten pounds

I lived in Tokyo for a few years and they have some really weird shows hosted by comedians. One stopped me on the street and tried to speak English with me. I didn't see it later on TV, but my 13-14 year old Japanese English students did.. They were impressed.

I was a vocal music student at my university. I performed in a lot of productions. I was pretty well known.

I was also in a band, which was also a lot of fun.

I was on a few episodes of Animal Planet's "Emergency Vets" in 1999-2000, as a newly graduated intern. I still have my 3-legged dog (now 13.5 years old) whose thoracic limb amputation as a puppy was televised on one of the episodes.

If people bring this up, I like to tell them..."I'm not really a veterinarian, I just played one on TV"

The production company once flew me  & my dog back to Denver to film a follow-up when he was an adult.

Thankfully it's been so long that people rarely ask me about it any longer, but I do have a copy of that amputation episode on VHS

In 1997 I was on the TV show COPS and actually got in a pursuit that left Iowa and went into Illinois and back into Iowa. We caught the guys and all of the pursuit and takedown was shown on FOX. I have the tape and still watch once in a while.

The local morning shows invite members of civic groups on to talk about events they are involved with, so dozens of times for several groups. Really dynamic viewing, must see Tee Vee!

I made an Easyriders video.  I was on the front row at the trophey girl contest when they panned the crowd.  I didn't even get 15 seconds of fame.

Back when EMS was my thing, I was on TV rescuing an elderly couple from a burning apartment building.  We don't normally go in, but Fire was busy with a couple of fully involved apartments on the 4th floor, so we helped evacuate the floors.  Anyway, it was close to zero degrees out and the stairs out front had become iced over from spray from FD coming out of the windows above.  The news crew filmed as I heroically helped these old people out of the building...and as the old lady slipped on the ice and landed on her back and I smiled for the camera.  I'm incredibly grateful that they didn't air that moment.

I kept waiting for some clever editing and headlining to show  "Rogue EMT Pushes Helpless Old Lady Down a Flight of Stairs!"

I made local news in 95 for football and I was interviewed.

In '96 I was on the MTV version on love line that was hosted by Dr. Drew and Adam Corolla. They were filming at a bar in LA and when I got there I told them I didn't have a question and they told me to just make one up. So it was my turn and I got up and made up an absurd question just to see if I make it on show but I never saw it but friends did tell me I was on.

I made the jumbotron at a Lakers game with a date but think they were more showing her.

I have caught a home run ball at Angles Stadium.
