Hi my name is Anthony Turner from Melbourne in Australia. I am 36 years old, an Accountant.

I am training on the Olympic distance 2 x balanced program at the moment. Have entered the Noosa Olympic distance triathlon (in Queensland Australia) in October.

New to the sport but loving the results I am geting from the cross training. I used to play Australian Rules football, so it is great to be doing the hard work without the injuries (although I have terrible achilles problems as a result of the past playing).

Not sure what to expect during the event (1.5km swim - 40km bike - 10km run) as i have only ever done shorter ones for fitness/fun.

You're going to have a ball at Noosa, everyone I know who's raced there previously has.
Stick with the program and you'll do just fine!

Yeah I have heard its great too. Looking forward to it.

Will enjoy the whole process, swimming, riding and running regularly during the next four months, completing the race to the best of my ability then partying afterward. Apparently very busy event and very fun festivities. After all the work I will enjoy a beer or two on the Sunday night in Noosa.

Then back to Melbourne for, and to continue the training program over, the Gatorade series.

Should have a great base by the end of the next summer.....

Good luck with the training. Looks like you have the making of a good base. I played Aussie Rules for a bit here in the states so I can relate to some of the injury stuff. I'm sure Noosa will be fun.

One of the Melbourne teams even came over and held a recruiting session, trying to find the first American to play in the AFL. Don't know how that worked out though.
