Apparently.

Promoting a culture where girls' best subjects are shopping, music, and dance and not math? WTF?

Why anyone would want to promote commercialism while simultaneously deriding their child's aptitude for math seems a little baffling. 

There are literally hundreds of organizations dedicated to encouraging girls in math and science, and then we have shirts like this.  Ugh.

Headdesk, indeed.

ps: Some of the response comments on that page are awesome and hilarious. 

I think I would rather go back to the days when they were promoting girls be rail thin and smart instead of obese vs fat and stupid.

It just follows on from all the kids shows... Ever watch the Disney Channel? Makes me sick.

lol, my brain isn't quite working today.  When I saw your first post I thought you actually "liked" the shirt.  I thought that was a little odd, but now it all makes sense.  lol

I'm not sure what I'd call it, but there does seem to be a lot of popularity with "I'm dumb" type of attire these days.  Perhaps it's just a counter culture thing trying to embrace stereotypes, but who knows.
I used to have a T-shirt that just said "Nerd" on it.  I wore it proudly.

From what I've seen sprinkled around the forums, I was raised somewhat like LB's kids. I played competitive sports: softball, soccer, gymnastics until I grew out of it. (not all at one time, I was not an over-extended kid)

My brother just had a kid and she is wearing very 'frou-frou' clothes and has things like those shirts, Switch. And she's not even a year old yet. I had a big talk with my brother that he better make sure she's in 'real sports' (don't shoot me, COJ) and not just dance and cheerleading like her mom is going to push. She needs to learn to be tough, take care of herself, be healthy, and  independent. My SIL does NOTHING active. She shops and gets her nails done. Not that there is anything wrong with that for some people, but that's ALL she does. She doesn't even take walks. The kid needs to grow up like LB's kids, or how my brother and I were raised. Not wear clothes like that.

That (expletive) makes me so mad! (many more cuss words had to be edited out of this post)
