I think I speak for every man in the world when I voice my displeasure here...apparently "high-waist" underwear is making a comeback with the ladies.
Yes...granny panties.
Is this some kind of sick joke?

Gay men (fashion designers) have no vested interest in making women look good to men. High waisted anything is terrible.

Ha!
I think you're right.
I thought those high-waisted "empire cut?" dresses looked ridiculous, well, they're nothing compared to the horror that is granny panties!
I know nothing of fashion...but shouldn't there be a law against granny panties?

As opposed to grannies in thongs?  I just don't know, man.....I don't think we should go all or nothing on this one. Laughing

Where did you see this? On your grandmother? Apparently I'm not up to date with the fashion trends, especially underwear. Commano since '98.

There are some versions of it that are better than others:

But really, is there anything she wouldn't look good in?

The full impact of this horrific trend can be seen when directly compared to a lower cut version:

Gentlemen, you're welcome.

The missus and I were discussing this trend just the other day. And how awful it is. It's not just the underoos. It's also the pantaloons and the bobby skirts that are high-waisted these days. I tell ya, the crazy kids and their disturbing fashion trends. What's next, Victorian era hoop skirts making a comeback!?

I was hoping this was about men's underwear and the addition of the "pouch"...Just saying, it really does offer additional and much needed support.

If you haven't seen it, just Google "men's pouch underwear". I am not posing pictures

Didn't everyone complain about the low-waisted pants, too?

I think *a few* of the high-waisted clothes look good - primarily the pencil skirts. But slacks of any kind. swim suits and dunders just look frumpy to me

High waist on anything is generally bad unless you're getting PAID to wear such things... and/or you have the bod to pull it off. Most of the people I've seen sporting such attire most definitely do not have the bod.

Yet another case of 'just because you can get into it, doesn't mean you should wear it'.

Oh man, I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.  I HATE majority of the "trends" in today's fashion.  Like the 80's comeback.  Lived it once...no thanks!

Sorry but skinny jeans don't look good on ANYONE.  If you have any curves they make your thighs look thunderous.  If you have skinny legs they make you look like a 12 year old boy.

And this trend with baggy, baggy T-shirts.  Most of us around here work pretty hard to have a nice looking waist.  I don't want to cover it up with a shirt that's twice as wide as my body.

Back in the day, I wore shirts as little as possible. These days, the shirts are baggier, and that's for everybody's benefit.

Ok. I googled it.

It's better because the pouch-thingy holds the boys in place or what?  If you wear briefs or boxer briefs, doesn't that happen just from a tightish fit?

Why do some guys like boxers so much?

Hold the phone...is this a size thing?

I don't like super baggy t-shirts either - that was a trend when I was in college (late '90s), I didn't know it was back!

I do, though, enjoy the slightly looser-fitting tops that are more prevalent today. Like this. There seemed to be a time not long ago where I couldn't find a cute blouse that didn't cling to every imperfection I had Embarassed

My wife bought me some standard Hanes briefs a year or so ago and I swear they would have went over my belly button if I put them on all the way.  I was like "helll noooo"
