Subject: Student Challenge
September has arrived again and if you're like me the first of this month often feels like January 1st as far as resolutions go. So here's the challenge...

Students out there be it college, university, high school... whatever adapt a training plan and stick to it!

I find its all about balance and personally making it all fit in a day is a feat in itself. My goal is to complete the couch to olympic plan over the fall, winter and spring and participate in my first triathalon next summer. I have been an on-again off-again runner, cyclist and swimmer for years now and I think setting some serious goals and working towards them will really help my lifestyle, health and confidence. I will be posting my training logs so please leave me messages with what you're up to becuase its always easy to keep going when you're part of a team rather than on your own.

I know how you feel. I'm so out of it lately, and school starts monday..plus this campus has been EMPTY all summer and now everyone's back, plus 7000 freshmen moved in today!!! it should be interesting watching them wander looking for frat parties tonight.

My goals are listed in my training log. Basically I'm going to swim consistently, somehow buy a bike trainer, and train hard for my half marathon!

I like the idea.  I get so caught up in classes and research that it's hard to find time to train.  Classes start tomorrow, but I'll have a plan by Sept 1.

As a new nontraditional student I fully understand about finding time for such things as training!! I also committed to my hubby that I would do my first tri next July. I signed up to do the bike/run challenge for September but am willing to merge these two together.

It seems like it would be pretty easy to do both challenges.  Set a run/bike goal for the September challenge.  We can use the same goal for the student challenge and set a swim goal, too.
