Master 2231 Des Moines, Iowa | Subject: RE: Sept Run/Bike Challenge .... FYI everyone....as start the challenge, please note that only miles (or minutes) logged UP TO the goal will be counted. Miles logged over your goal won't count for the contest. Otherwise you could easily "bike" any miles you missed running or vice versa. This also prevents someone from logging extra miles to make up for a teammate. Hope that makes sense :-) |

Master 2231 Des Moines, Iowa | Subject: RE: Sept Run/Bike Challenge .... Boll Weevils ! Oh the agony!! My spilleng is terrible. Boll Weevils ... your leaders login_id is "mingram" NOT "minigram". Although, I think they both have similar root words :-) Anyway, if you were trying to find her logs, it is "mingram" .... May a herd of Boll Weevils invade my underwear drawer...(or is that drawyer?) |

Champion 7553 Albuquerque, New Mexico | Subject: RE: Sept Run/Bike Challenge .... Shawn, I'll need to excuse myself this month... Doctor wants me off the foot (completely) for several days and not running on it for at least a week or two, which means I've got no chance to hit 50 miles. |

Member 95 | Subject: RE: Sept Run/Bike Challenge .... actually I have a question regarding distances (before I get questioned for what is in my log) - I went cycling on the bike at the gym today - did 35 minutes at a steady pace and at the end the machine said I'd done 15.6km - does that sound accurate or is the machine being a little generous with the amount of distance I did? I am not sure what is a realistic distance to cycle in that time - any thoughts? |

Cycling Guru 15134 Fulton, MD | Subject: RE: Sept Run/Bike Challenge .... That's around 16 - 17 mph, sounds totally realistic to me. But gym machines are notorious for being inaccurate. :shrugs: |
