Swim
Comments: Went pretty well for my first time. I was able to free style pretty much the whole thing. Lots of swimmers, so I was kicked a few times. Transition 1
Comments: Long run to my bike. Big transition area. What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: This for some reason was the hardest part for me. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I was constantly being passed by people with really nice racing bikes, and I was chugging along on my mountain bike. It seemed like the course just kept going and going.... What would you do differently?: Get a racing bike. Transition 2
Comments: Chugged some water and half a GU packet. Run
Comments: Started off pretty slow, but ended with a sprint to the finish. I was amazed at how good I felt. Post race
Event comments: I don't have anything to compare this race to - but I had a blast! The race area was really pretty. It was a little pricey to compete in this race though. Last updated: 2004-07-19 12:00 AM

Got up at 5. Needed to be at race site to set up transition early. I was SUPER nervous. Almost considered backing out!
