Ode to My 60 Ride
No way, that’s it,
I can’t take it anymore
As I grab my shoes and my bike helmet
And I walk out the door
I don’t care if I am bad
Leaving in the middle of the day
I want to ride my fast bike
I want to get out and play
All day it has been raining
Not one day, but four
I am going out anyway
I am gonna even the score
Bring it on Mother Nature
Make it rain, let it pour
I need to ride 60 miles
And I have never done that before
She heard my trash talking
And she laughed with great glee
The clouds opened up
The sun shone down on me
No one passed me,
No one caught me,
No one blew me away
The chick on the pink Trek
Ruled the trail that day.
This fact makes me smile
But actually I smirk
Because I know darn well
The fast cyclists were still at work!
Mother Nature is catty
As I was soon to learn
I forgot my sunscreen
And she gave me a nice burn
So all you other BT teams
Entertaining a September bike/run fetish
Off your butts, hit the pavement
Love the Pickles, with relish!!
