Subject: RE: 9.14.16 What's Up Wednesday! I did manage to get on the trainer, just because I really don't have any way to ride outside during the work week. and thought I should spin the legs a bit before MTB ride this weekend. 40 minutes of fairly relaxed Z2 stuff. Probably won't do much more than that for the next few weeks. I am going to start a more structured "maintenance" type plan in October; maybe 1-2 months before thinking again about actually training for something!
I am STILL trying to charge the stupid Garmin. It does turn on (now that it doesn't really matter, of course ) but very low %. It keeps turning off when I am trying to charge it. May be a problem with charging in my universal plug adaptor--the connection isn't good or something. Either that or the battery is shot. I think it is like computers, copiers, projectors and the like when teaching. I don't know about other teachers but for me, they always seem to malfunction just when IT REALLY MATTERS. Like when you're giving a math test in ten minutes and suddenly realize....you didn't copy it yesterday! Or you have this awesome video you found to teach a concept and the kids are all excited for it, and THERE GOES THE WI-FI! It's like your anxiety/need causes you to emit an electronic pulse of death and scrambles all electronics. And where else would you NEED your Garmin more than a race you've been working toward for two years??
Good luck on 0 dark 30. Planning a short run as well. I don't think I have been on a treadmill in a couple of years! Edited by Hot Runner 2016-09-14 7:48 AM
