Yesterday I did an open water swim - saw lots of colorful fish and even some dolphins!6:30 - 40' run with 3 x 3' tempo being the main set. Have a great day and weekend! Master 3127   Sunny Southern Cal | Subject: RE: 5.20.17 Sunny Saturday Kona looks nice! I enjoyed our visit there last year, though the running was a bit warm and humid compared to my usual morning runs at home. Today I went out for a casual 1:10 run. Maybe I'll swim later, maybe not. |

Master 8248 Eugene, Oregon Bronze member | Subject: RE: 5.20.17 Sunny Saturday Kona! Grrr..... If it's too hot, there are some beautiful roads up in the coffee farming area on the side of Hualalai. There is a little town up there (Holualoa) with a really nice cafe/coffee shop and historic hotel where you could park and car and run. We stayed up in the hills on our last visit (no, not to "do" Kona, just vacation) because Mom wanted a place that was cooler at night. Great views of the ocean in some places. Fairly easy one-hour trainer ride here and 3400m of pretty hard swim sets. Plus a ton of errands. Edited by Hot Runner 2017-05-20 6:44 PM |
