7.15.17 Sunny Saturday!

20 mile ride on local trails, felt great! Focused on keeping my cadence smooth and relaxed. This is my first 20 miler on my mountain bike, and the first in a LONG time.

Long ride here too--probably my last ride on beautiful Row River Trail. It's one of the only places I know where one can safely ride a tri bike in aero most of the time, past awesome Oregon scenery and out of traffic. About 55 miles (three hours) on Red Rover. Ran into (not quite literally) into local elite runners, one a Kenyan (current and former Oregon Ducks). They'd both lived in Eugene for a couple of years and neither had ever done a run on the trail before; had just decided to get out of town and do something different today as they had an easy run planned (I'm guessing they were doing at least 6-minute pace if not faster LOL) and weather was really nice.
