Subject: RE: 11.2.17 Thursday Stuff!Good luck at State!
Our track/XC season starts in two weeks. Minor problem--I still can't run. Foot is doing somewhat better day to day, but still l don't feel ready to run. I guess I just stand there and yell or something. MRI and a couple more consultations haven't really yielded any conclusive answers or treatment ideas, and have pretty much given up on figuring anything out here. Hoping that is because whatever was originally was the issue is no longer there....Ugh.
AM: 45 minute pool run (I think I never want to see the apartment pool again if I can ever stop doing these )
PM: 3200m of swimming
Altogether way, way too much time in a pool. Wouldn't even bother to train, except that I have entered (a long time back ) and made the travel arrangements for a race in New Zealand in February (Challenge Wanaka ). It's been on my bucket list for years but has never coincided with a school break; this year it does. At this point I am probably looking at either not running, walking the run, or maybe run/walk. If still not better by then, will just give up the sport after that. Don't have the desire to "keep in shape" indefinitely like this, doing things I don't enjoy much (water running, trainer ), with no real goal. Edited by Hot Runner 2017-11-02 8:05 AM
