Master 2055 Santa Clarita | Subject: RE: March S-B-R BLUE Team And to get the "rules" out there so we are all on the same page. The Challenge "Rules": 1. Must show your training in the logs publicly 2. Monday through Sunday is the 'week'. 1st week is March 1-4th, then 5th-11th, 12th-18th, 19th-25th and 26th-April 1st. 3. Plan for illnesses and or slight injury in your goals. I would like to offer; * that a double sickness, injury or sickness+injury is ok to drop a team member * A prolonged illness (e.g. flu) or serious injury too * No drops in the last week of the challenge * Can change your Goals up to Wednesday 3/7 4. No log input after 2 full weeks (a team member may be dropped as long as several attempts (PM) are made to contact them. 5. Time (min/hr) and or Distance (miles/km) for goals. You can mix them , e.g. Swim/Run = time and Bike = miles or vise versa. 6. Metric distances will be converted to Miles/ yards on the spreadsheet 7. Compiled weekly results will be posted ~ Tuesday afternoons. 8. Train safe... 9. Smack talk is encouraged... Happy Hunting BLUE ! |

Master 1978 Chelmsford, Massachusetts | Subject: RE: March S-B-R BLUE Team Hey Team... At the advice of someone whose opinion I value highly, I'm changing my bike and run goals. Bike needs to go up to 300 miles. Run needs to come down to 75 miles. I've been informed that the fact that I've run 5 marathons already this year means I don't need to work on my running for IMAZ...but my biking is sorely lacking. So I'm taking 50 miles off my run goal and adding 100 to my bike goal. Jeez, this is gonna be tough. It was enough of a challenge going 150 in Feb...but I guess I'd better get used to it...I gotta do 112 all at one time in 45 days!! Good luck to everyone! GO BLUE!!!

Master 1641 Seattle, California | Subject: RE: March S-B-R BLUE Team I hope everyone had a great training weekend . The weather co-operated with me and I got in a long ride outside and a nice hill workout on Sunday. I'm a little behind on the run and swim but that should correct itself this week. I was on the tail end of a rest week last week. So I have 2 big weeks now. Here is where I'm at. SWIM: 0.75 / 10 hours ~ 7.5% BIKE: 3.83 / 20 hours ~ 19% RUN: 0.75 / 10 Hours ~ 7.5% Lets keep the motivation into this week and get in those workouts. I need to focus on getting up for my swims this week. Mornings last month were often wasted.

Master 1978 Chelmsford, Massachusetts | Subject: RE: March S-B-R BLUE Team I had a good week until yesterday when I felt like I got hit by a truck. I did manage to pull out a decent ride on Saturday though. Stats as of today: Definitely not where I wanted to be. I wanted to have another 25 miles of biking yesterday and another 5 or 6 miles of running, but I was so run down I barely got off the couch all day. Feeling better today so hopefully I'll be able to catch up in the next few days. My sked calls for about 100 miles of biking, 20 miles of running and about 3000 yards of swimming this week so I should be back on track soon. Hope everyone has a great training week this week!! GO BLUE!!! |
