Subject: Mama Get Your motor running Hi- I am new here to this site. I am a 35 year old mama to two (5 and 3 yrs ). I work at the YMCA as a personal fitness trainer, very part time, but have never been particularly athletic, ironically. Being tall and thin make people assume you're fit and that has not always been the case for me! I was inspired by watching my husband compete in his first Tri this June and though, heck, I think I could do that. So I amped up my workout routine, started biking more, running farther, joining a Spin class, dropping by the pool (but not as often as I should have -gulp- ) etc. Now as the auspiciously dated, September 11th, triathlon looms, I am panicking that I may have assumed just because I am fit, I can finish a sprint distance tri (respectably would be a bonus ). I have said all along, my goal is to finish and I am stomping down the Type A monster who is saying "but come on, dontcha want to do really well?".
This seems like a great site. I look forward to reading the posts and getting to know this cyber community. Maybe my first Tri will not be my last!
