Subject: RE: Kayaking builds strength...right?I don't kayak, but I do canoe as often as possible.
It is great core and upper body cross training.
I canoe so that the wife and I can travel together, and we can take the dogs and other gear.
I find it both fun and relaxing.
I even do the odd canoe race, the next one scheduled for Apr 22.
You should see the odd looks we get when we load our 2 dogs into the canoe for a race.
It's a 100lbs extra weight, but the dogs love it, and most people can't believe we bring them.
Warning: Swimming and kayaking will lead to a love of the water, which might lead you to sailing which can be very addictive, and very expensive. Don't ask how I know. |
