Champion  7704     Williamston, Michigan |  Subject: Favorite I'm getting faster momentThey have the favorite I'm losing weight moment so I figured I'd start this thread too. This AM I decided to go for a long bike ride on my favorite nearby trail. I'm cruising along and I'm coming up on some other bicyclists. Here is this guy on what looks like a Cervelo P2K and he is dressed to the nines. Matching shirt, helmet, and bike. Fancy clipless pedals with (of course) mathcing shoes. Fancy 2 compartment drink bottle mounted on the back of his bike with straws to the front.....And I blow by him on my little second hand trek that doesn't even have clipless pedals yet. He may have been taking a rest or something, but he didn't catch for the rest of the ride and it was very cool anyway. Best thing that's happened in ages. Edited by sue7013 2004-10-16 1:05 PM |

They are moderately hard core. When I bravely showed up for the first workout this year, but I WAS able to keep up and I was so proud of myself!! Jen |

Now I can out run him and out bike him but he will always be able to out swim me. He's had multiple knee surgeries so I'll always be able to out run him. But biking is fair game... I tried not to show a smile while I was waiting by the car.  |

I've only been at it for 10 weeks now. I guess the one thing that I do enjoy seeing is the I can run/bike/swim for longer periods of time moments. As those 10% weekly increases start tacking on some longer workouts and I use the training logs to figure out pace, I'm at least staying kind of steady - not really getting slower as I'd expect with longer duration exercises. |
