mndymond - 2012-06-13 8:57 PM Booooooo just read about Andy...after a 2 hour talk about getting into residency and I am stressed out big time. I didn't pick the most competitive speciality...but I picked the 4th and 5th most competitive specialities to apply to...ahhhhh. On the plus side of the day I registered for IM Cali. Woooo woooo!

Well which ones are you looking into so we can give you some sound BT advice

Emergency medicine and anesthesia. Like both. Both have pros/cons. Both have procedural and critical care opportunities. Both have good lifestyle considerations. Emerg is shifts, anesthesia has call.

wgraves7582 - 2012-06-14 5:53 AMAny thoughts on Lance's USADA Suspension from all activities including triathlons?
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That's my view. I love Lance. Always have and I have this great plan of seeig him next year at IM France. These doping investigations are ridiculous...I think Lance is a physiological outlier. Just like Michael Phelps, like Chrissie, like Ian Thorpe, like Gabriel Selassie, Andy Schleck, Macca, Annamay Pierse, crazy Norweigan X country skier dude. If he is doping (which I don't think he is) then everyone else and more in my list is also doping. So basically everyone is doping then. Which maybe is the case but I don't think so. Or there is some fantastical biochemist out there? Haha. Just my views. (and I'm hurting from my poor Andy's spinal fracture so I might be over sensitive right now )

wgraves7582 - 2012-06-14 4:54 AM Got my run in last night and I commuted again today.  Rode the snowbike (about 40+ pounds before you add me ) just for fun.  I cannot believe the comments I get on that thing all the time - but it is a weird looking bike

I need to see a picture of the bike! Laughing

My toddler has a cold with a fever.  He's really snuggly, too.  Any bets on when I'm going to come down with it?

I also am going to have to possibly lessen my goals.  I don't want to drop out completely, because you all are so sweet and keep me motivated.

I apologize. My daughter's therapies are taking their toll on my days and mental health, as well as the increase in her symptoms.  I am trying to use my workouts as a way to de-stress, but I am not sure if I will be able to meet all goals.

::HUGS::

Your daughter is more important than the challenge!  Do as much as you can and don't sweat the rest.  I hope you can still get some workouts in o help you de-stress.

Earache for the past 3 weeks. Finally went to the Dr. today. He told me it looked fine but give me antibodies anyway just in case. Told me there still might be a problem as it feels like there is water iN my ear. At least he did not say no swimming until it feels better. That would have been hard because I am racing on Sunday.
