Hey.... we're supposed to be the ones throwing pumpkins at the other teams, not the ones getting sick and injured.

What's going on with all of this?

Hope everyone gets better soon.

Kenny - OOOHHH AAAAHHHH - nice looking bike!

Kelly - I hope everything gets better for you - yikes you have ALOT going on - take care.

Kim - glad to hear you're on the mend

April seems to have been a tough one for some, tax month???...

I got a swim in Wed, a run in yesterday and today will swim, tomorrow run/swim, and Sunday run/bike. I plan to be over 55% for everything by the end of the weekend which will still put me behind, but next week/weekend I see no problem getting on track and to 100%! YEAH - feels good to be working out again.

Work is calming down a bit - phew... it was NOT PRETTY the past two weeks!

What's up for everyone else?

Wow!  We're dropping :-(  I hope everyone takes care of everything that's going on.  Get better - get well.

Let's get crackin' ! I'm slowly getting out of the red in swimming. Biking, running, and lifting haven't seemed to be a problem this month.  I will have a few extra opportunities next week to swim so I will take full advantage; however, I plan on being out of the red and above where I should be by the end of the weekend :-)

I hope everyone is staying on track, if you can.

NICE BIKE KENNY.

That's a fantastic Bike Kenny!!

Help... I'm turning green. I'm still riding my brother's old Warehouse (like Walmart) bike. It works, but only just. I've got my eye on an Avanti Monza in the shop down the road. I have to reel my tounge back in every time I go past, but my savings account needs a bit of a tune up before I can take it home.

Is your bike a boy or a girl? That will make a difference when it comes to a name.

Well, I'm off to log my traing for the last couple of days. I dind't get much in this weekend (not only am I a day ahead of the rest of you because I live in NZ, but becuase of my work, my weekends are Friday and Saturday!) went tramping (hiking, backpacking) so have been out in the bush for the last 48Hrs. I'm throwing in an extra swim next week though, that should make up for this weekend.

Go Pumpkins!

I think my bike would have to be female. Not sure spending hours sitting on something male would feel right to me to be honest. So get your suggestions for a name to me.

Janine, you should tell us more (and provide pics) of your "tramping" in the bush. I have never heard of it called this but would be fascinated to see some pics of the scenery where you were.

And to all the other pumpkins who are clinging on to their health, don't worry folks, we can make our goals. It seems like everyone who is behind has a plan to get back on track and has the weekend to help do that. So keep your chins up and we can still have a great finish to our month this week.

As for me I am heading out for and hour or so on the bike (whatever her name is) now and then I have a great getaway evening with my wife to celebrate our anniversary, The place we are going is in the mountains above Santa Fe, NM where we will be staying overnight (sans kids) at a spa with private outdoor hot tubs and then we are going for full body and head and shoulder massages and then back to our little private lodge/room. So with that ahead of me, I am gonna push it a bit harder on the bike today knowing I have an evening of total relaxation ahead.

Hope everyones weekedns are kicking off well.

Have fun out there.......I know I will be!

Good news everyone!

I'm finally caught up in all three disciplines from the deficit I built up while in China.  It only took about 5 hours in the gym over the past two days.  Good thing I got it done before my recovery week next week and tomorrow is a day off.  You better believe I'm going to take full advantage of the off day to do no working out and rest my legs...

Great!  I'm glad you're caught up :-)  I was supposed to have a rest day myself this week, but I was in the red, and still am, in swimming. I will be trying to get lots of swimming in this week. I tried frontloading most of my workouts this week and will do so next week...I'm basically having two off/easy days since I'm traveling to NH.  Hopefully I will get my swimming up to speed this week.  :-)

Hi Pumpkins!  Looks like you guys are having a rough month as far as losing team members.  The rest of you have to stay healthy!!  I took AmbulanceDriver out of the spreadsheet.

Nice Michael and Carrie - way to go!

Made serious progress this weekend. I have more flexibility this week with the kids schedules so should be able to put in 4 early mornings at the pool or gym!

YEAH! We're going to do it pumpkins!

I have a question.  Races count as double, correct?  So, I have a trail race this Sunday.  If it takes me 40 minutes to complete, do I just write 80 in the spreadsheet or is there somewhere special we put that?

I just write 80 in the spreadsheet.  I couldn't figure out how to make it work in the spreadsheet without being way too complicated.

Fantastic job pumpkins!! :-)

It's a great way to start the day knowing that we are in 1st place. I did 1200m in the pool last night that I havn't logged yet, and another swim later this week. I've had the go ahead to start running again as well :-) true, it's only 5 min 3 times a week, but at least it's something!

Kenny, How about Ramona for your bike? it's a little bit vampy and a little bit 'rock chick'. She looks like a bit of a rocker ;-)

THIS IS COOL!!!!.....We are gonna win this!

I am off out for a run right now. What a motivation!

110% here we come team.....My run deficit will be gone tonight and my bike will be all caught up by tomorrow.

I am soooo ready for a big week to finish the month and be ready for my two races in early May.

Thanks for the suggestion for the bike name Janine......I like the vampy rock chick idea. I am rock/punk music fan myself and listen to this while on the bike, however I am not sure about Ramona.....any other ideas?

Leaving now to go get a bike and hopefully a swim in this eve. Short, but will get me closer!

Kenny - Here are some ideas with their meanings and origin:

Bolere - Strong - Basque
Birkita - Strong - Celtic
Petra - Rock - Greek - this is my daughters name actually - I'm a bit biased
Nikita - Unconquered - Greek

Go Pumpkins!
