Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!

I made it back into town in plenty of time for the show and dinner!!!

Woo hoo! Glad it was a smooth trip.

me too!!!

so.........how long will it take for your toenail to grow back?

The general consensus is 6 months. The good news is I ran 6 miles today and had no problems. In fact, it was one of my best training runs of the year!

Finished my last day...it wasn't too bad.

It'a amazing how nice it can be when you go in KNOWING you NEVER have to go back!

They gave me flowers and a little picture. One of the lab techs gave me flowers too (she was one of the only people out of the departent I told I was leaving)

My friend gave me a cheer leader ribbon so I've tied it on my running hat for tomorrow (H9927 will be sporting a hot pink hat with a white ribbon on the back of it)

Got my race packet and a whole lot of other stuff. Picked up a massage stick at the expo along with info for masters swim and a few other races...Question about the masters swim--a 1 mile ocean swim June 15--my OWS skills are umm for lack of a better word...weak. I'm thinking that swim needs to wait till next year, what do Nibbs think?

Congratulations on your last day!!!!

Ocean swim or river swim?  there's a 1 mile swim in the James in June.  I've done it before with very little OWS experience.  It actually wasn't too bad.  I was one of the last to finish, but that's ok.

OKay, 5pm.... never got to run today, again.

Good news is I found out I REALLY don't need to be to work until later in the morning (as long as I beat my staff in by an hour I'm good - gotta prep to do tournament draws)  So hopefully I'll get to workout between hubbys run and work.

Time to head off (gotta get to Costco before heading home)

NIGHT NIGHT!!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU WITH RACES TOMORROW!!!!

Part of me says burn them...part says give them to my friends (one is losing weight and should fit them soon, the other is pregnant and will need to get bigger ones--the joys of wearing a medium so my legs don't look huge...

Ocean swim  25th Annual Jack King One Mile Ocean Swim.  Picked up the info at the masters swim table in  the expo.  I'll probably ait till next year  for it.  The river swim sounds possible after a few more OWS practices

That seems to me like a positive way to say good bye to the old job - by benefitting others

Its like finding a positive out of a bad situation... I like it!

Helpful as ever, Dee If I weren't afraid of getting struck by lightning or repeated blows to the head and face with large hail, this really wouldn't be much of a problem. Stupid thunderstorms...

I do my best.

As for the OWS.... How "weak" is weak, exactly? 'Cause you've have some good pool workouts. (I've seen them listed in your log.)

And how much experience have you had in open water previously? Have you ever tried swimming where the OWS will be held?

I'm full of questions tonight.

see my race report from Cayuga Lake tri...total freak out took over 30 min to swim 750m because I grabbed the kayaks every few minutes to calm down.

Have never been to VA beach where this event takes place

Have only been to a few OWS practices with the tri club and for some reason the river doesn't bother me.  Very little ocean experience other than playing at the beach... Umm yeah, another year...MAYBE the river swim Jen mentioned or a lake swim 1 mile in July...Picked up info on that in the expo too

Lets celebrate all wekened! I just got back from being totally self indulgent (details in my log) which I do every birthday either on the day or the day before! Not the same thing each year but i always go spend too much money on myself in some way or another!
