Master 2005 Silverton, Oregon | Subject: RE: June Team 2 Shoeless - 2008-06-09 1:09 PM I bested my 10-mile time by almost 5 minutes today. My legs are very fatigued. I think I'll go sit in the therapy pool while DD swims this afternoon. I am up to 49% of my running, now. Wahoo! Captain Avenger Nice job, captain! |

I see meters in many other people's logs, though my own are shown in standard measurements? Captain AvengerI just updated the spreadsheet to include my bike ride on Sunday morning - great weather here....24 C and relatively low humidity. One note: my swim distance is in meters. If your profile is not set to metric, you will see the corresponding number of yards. I mention it because the distance entered in the spreadsheet was wrong. Have a great weekend everyone!
Interesting. I see what you mean. I see metric in your logs and I see US system measurements in other people's logs when I look at the monthly totals. The daily entries for everyone show up in metric.

There seem to be a load of summer bugs around at the moment and they just sap the energy out of you. I've had a scratchy throat this week which touch-wood isn't going to get worse before the weekend... |

Expert 1202 Montana | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers I put up another 3600 yards in the pool today. I met my tri-buddies on the way in. They were there for an unscheduled swim. When they were done, the instructor for the advanced stroke technique was giving us some pointers. He asked me if I would mind if he paced off me for his workout, to push him a bit. That was pretty cool. He is nearing 70, I think, so I don't flatter myself to think I'm lightning fast, but I've always look on him as an excellent swimmer. When I was done with my swim, he asked if I would consider doing a relay at a Masters' meet. That would be cool! Hope everyone is having a great week! Captain Avenger |

Master 1792 | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers OK, so I just snuck out of work and cracked off 900...was proud to get that in til I read about 3600. Maybe my bike this afternoon (with my hubby for a change) will make me feel a little better. So, the pool I swim in most often, in our dive shop right behind out travel agency (where I work) is only 15 yd long...do you know how how many times you gotta turn around to get in any yardage?!?! Just thought I'd share. Hope all is well with everyone! |

Champion 6285 Beautiful Sonoma County | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers Hi team! Just checking in to say that I know I've been AWOL, but kinda expected I would be this week as I adjust to my new job schedule. I still need to enter my race info into the spreadsheet to get my totals up-to-date. I haven't done any workouts this week, but have come up with a plan to get some in next week. Plus, we have a long ride planned for this weekend. Maybe I'll even drag myself to the lake for a swim. |

Veteran 242 Reading, Berkshire (UK) | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers Hey guys, hope you've all got a great weekend planned (with maybe a little bit of training ) and that everyone is feeling better soon. I'm tapering for Sunday so I've finished my training for this week. I'm going to be fine for my swim and bike goals, but am going to need some steely discipline to make my run and core goals (which I will do!!).

Expert 831 Eltham North, Victoria | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers I have a cycling event on Sunday. A new freeway has just been completed and prior to opening they are 65km cycling "Challenge" so we get to ride it traffic free. I think there will be about 6000 competitors so I don't think it will be especially fast. This will be my longest ride so I'm expecting a very sore butt. |

Master 1356 | Subject: RE: Avatar Avengers Hey team. I have another day of lazibones. OK, I'm not lazy, I'm frustrated! I've had a month of serial colds. I'm really tired of tissues and mucous. And that's just me, not my two kids' noses which are cycling like mine. Maybe I'll do something later today (trainer in the garage at nap time?). Despite waking up early these past two mornings, going out to train seemed unwise with my constant cooties so I stayed in bed and waited for the family to rise. I'm hopeful I can get ahead of these spring/summer sickies! I have my first sprint tri next saturday (the 21st). Would be nice to have full lung capacity for it, would be nice to be training for it... In other news, did I tell y'all this yet? My muddy buddy wants to be a triathlete now too! Maybe she will sign up on BT soon, in the meantime she's signing up for a Sept tri which I'll do too! |

I was wondering if you'd be able to talk her into it after Muddy Buddy! I'm sorry you're still sick. That really does suck. If it helps, I've raced twice now with a cold, and I barely noticed it while I was racing (before and after, ugh). It's a bit...messy, but doable. Feel better! |
